That Stirling Annan game on the final day of the season is going to be a really interesting game sort of games which should be shown on Alba imo.

Yeah you guys had a few chances that you should have done a lot better with the one our keeper made a mess off and Hester had a few chances he should have been at the least be hitting the target.

On paper a win at Montrose looks like a really good win as it is a difficult place to go however again that was awful today and I think we were lucky to win as we have been most of the season Montrose also robbed of a stonewall penalty from what my view if that game had finished 3-2 Montrose today then I don't think we would have been able to complain.

Think the result Montrose had on Tuesday will actually make this game harder for us unlike ourselves Montrose actually have a manager who knows what he's doing and I'm expecting a reaction from them tomorrow big game for them and they really need to win i can see them beating us tomorrow. We must be careful on how much minutes we give the guys who are carrying injuries/back from injury however I don't trust Rankin one bit on managing that correctly as he showed at Annan with Longridge. So Falkirk fans are finally realising that Rankin doesn't know what he's doing?

Expected Kelty to stay up a couple of weeks ago they have a few players that i would actually take at Accies so no surprise there. Even though QOTS look a bit more comfortable now I've still got this feeling they'll finish 9th I can see Stirling beating them at Forthbank next week with Annan beating Edinburgh comfortably which will make things more interesting. Stirling have Edinburgh the week after which I think they'll pick up another 3 points, QOTS have Cove I could see that being a draw and Annan will lose to Falkirk Going into the last day it's likely that Montrose will still be playing for something so I do think they'll beat QOTS and Annan will beat Stirling meaning it will end 7th Annan 40P 8th Stirling 40P 9th QOTS 38P

We are really going to struggle getting people in next season if we're in league 1 with Rankin again which would be a shame especially considering it's our 150th season next year. I really like Seref and he's done a lot more good than bad so far but he needs to realise that all of the stuff he's done so far could be for absolutely nothing if he keeps Rankin again next season there's no excuse to keep him especially considering as far as I'm aware Rankin's contract is up at the end of the season.

Inverness now beating Queens Park today means that Queens Park are in that playoff spot with 3 games remaining I would personally much rather have Inverness does worry me a bit that if Queens Park were to go down and it's not us going up from the playoffs that they could walk the league next season I'm pretty sure they've got a bit of money available they do have a decent squad obviously just recently changed their manager as well I am a bit surprised that they're sitting 9th. On a positive note it does mean there is a possibility that we could have a final at Hampden.

This full "you have no fans" patter is the sort of thing i would expect from the old firm do better.

It does worry me a bit with that the money McGowan will get from this that he's going to go and try to destroy another club wouldn't wish it on anyone and hopefully he's nowhere near another football club.

He hasn't learned from last season his subs constantly kills us and makes us far worse his game management is terrible for example a couple of weeks ago against QOTS he had made 4 subs but in 3 different stoppages and 2 stoppages within about 2 minutes apart so we had to play for the last 20/25 minutes with no subs left and it was clear to see a couple of them were carrying injuries 1 of them Lee Kilday is just recently back from injury and another Jackson Longridge had to come off again last week due to an injury he's risking these players in meanness matches when we have the playoffs coming up in a couple of weeks. His treatment of young players is also terrible he's constantly on their backs and is shouting at them every 2 minutes however he very rarely shouts at the experienced players when it's clear a couple of them know their place is safe regardless of how poor apart from Connor Smith and Fergus Owens (and he was out on loan for 6 months when it's clear he should have been in the first team) he's failed to improve any talented young player and has repeatedly ruined them. Joe McGlynn, Josh O'Brien, Makenzie Kirk, Dylan Tait,Lucas De Bolle, Dylan Stephenson, Chrissy McGinn, Jonny Ngandu are the names that instantly come to me.

Yeah I think you do make a couple of fair points however it's fair to say that Falkirk have certainly got some appointments wrong I wouldn't want any of those 3 managers that you named anywhere near Accies. As far as I'm aware Rankin's contract is up af the end of the season so it wouldn't cost us any money to get rid of him. With what you said about it being a risk which it would be I think you could make that point about any club in the SPFL about removing their manager it would also be a huge risk keeping Rankin and giving him another year if we do lose the playoffs this season like I think we will and we don't go up next season then we are going to be here for a long time and possibly longer than what Falkirk were here for.

He's been really good and been one of our best players since he signed would love to have him permanently regardless of what league we are in next season.

Yeah I think Lyness has been decent tbf but I would rather have Fulton for the playoffs personally especially if one of the games were to go to pens. He probably hasn't been at his best this season when he was playing I still really like him and would be trying to keep him personally.

Yeah I can understand that however I still think a new manager is a requirement with us even if we were to go up i wouldn't put it past Rankin to take us straight back down. We seen Paul Hartley walked this league with Cove a few seasons ago then went to Hartlepool and ended up back at Cove around January time and they were comfortably 8th and I think they only beat Partick and Arbroath since he came back and they went back down.

This is what some Falkirk fans don't seem to get. This is his second crack at it after he relegated us last season again tbf to him it wasn't fully down to him last season however a better manager would have still of kept us up we definitely had a better squad than Cove and Arbroath.

Wouldn't shock me if Rankin is just waiting for Lyness to have a shocker so he can drop him tbf to Lyness he hasn't really put a foot wrong recently and has had a couple of decent games however I would much rather have Fulton for the playoffs.

Tbf I wasn't aware that he won it during the Covid season however all my previous points all still stand that McGlynn has history of winning this league and had an acceptable record at Raith in the championship. And that Rankin was a risk appointment that could have either went very well or been a disaster like it has been and that he relegated us last season this isn't his first chance like it was for McGlynn at Falkirk last season. Finally like I've said plenty of times now I'm not trying to take credit off Falkirk they've been excellent this season and deserved to win the league however that doesn't change the fact Rankin needs to be removed at the end of this season and that it was one of the few mistake that our new owner has made so far by not removing him at the end of last season.

This is such a ridiculous argument that some Falkirk fans have been using all season to defend Rankin. Even though I'm personally not a huge fan of McGlynn before Falkirk he had the experience of winning this league twice before with Raith. Rankin was simply a risk appointment that has really not worked out like Bartley at QOTS was and Rankin should have been well gone after he relegated us last season this isn't Rankins first shot like it was with McGlynn last season at Falkirk. Rankin got us here in the first place even though he was put in a difficult position last season and it wasn't fully his fault as our previous owner was a clown our squad last season was still far better than both the Cove and Arbroath squad and a better manager would have kept us up last season. Our new owner has got the majority of things correct but keeping Rankin on for this season was a huge mistake and he simply can't make the same mistake again next season.

I agree with everything you're saying but this is down to the manager.

I think we could have this debate all day the reality of the matter is though these are the players and the squad Rankin wanted and he's been backed massively by our new owner and he has failed miserably even in a lot of games we've won this season he has almost killed us with his awful subs he's made and his rotten system and it's more due to our players being milles better than the opposition that we've won games than him. This isn't his first season he got us relegated as well last year and should of been removed then. He will never be a manager and belongs on Sportscene and if we are to win this league next season bringing in a new manager is essential as he would make a mess of it again next season. Falkirk have been great this season though and deservedly have won the league that doesn't change the fact that Rankin must go.

Yeah I definitely underestimated Falkirk however that doesn't change the fact that we have a really good squad and it's been wasted with a shocking manager.

I can't see us winning them however at the same time Inverness look a complete mess and it seems like they're a bit like how we were last season seems like they're owner is killing them from what I've seen their fans say. This is the best chance an Montrose or Alloa will get of getting promoted and although Montrose lost 7-1 on Saturday I rate Petrie highly and it wouldn't shock me one bit if they finished 3rd then won against us.
