Looks unfit to be honest. At times yesterday he looked like he didn’t want to be there.

Echoes of the early part of last season yesterday. Looked like a team of boys getting out muscled all game. No aggression in the team at all apart from Walls but the yellow card killed that off. No link between the midfield and forward totally made Fash ineffective. Mcmannus should have done better with his two chances but at least he was getting in position and got the shots away, unlike Trouten who seems to want to walk the ball in to the net. Nowhere for Greig to hide this season, that was his team on the pitch and the lack of fight was worrying. I'm hoping it was a one off and the home form hoodoo doesn't strike again. To be fair to Peterhead, they looked useful up front and maybe not as bad as their form last season suggests.

That was a shambles last night. Leaving Newton on the bench for so long when it was clear that we were being overrun in midfield was baffling. The tactic seems to be for Shepherd to get on the end of a flick on and run through past the defenders. Which might work if we won a header in midfield and Shepherd actually varied his runs. There's no-one pulling the opposition defence out of shape so the gaps don't exist for him to run in to either. Shiavone is great at doing this but he was warming the bench last night while Steven was pretty much ineffective and muscled out the game. It's worrying that we still don't seem to have settled on a formation either, the team on the park last night didn't have a clue where they were supposed to be.

It's pretty clear that there are too few people trying to do too many jobs at the club. Having no commercial manager is madness, and having a 6 week waiting list for a new strip is just ridiculous. It all reeks of last minute decisions and no forward planning, probably down to not having enough staff. On to the playing side of things, we clearly need a couple of horrible b*stards in the team that are going to get stuck in and do the dirty work. We wont get out of this league by playing fancy football and being steamrollered every week. Bonnyrigg had at least 4/5 of them and it was no contest really.

Adam Rooney is looking for a club, last at Solihull Moors. He’s 34 now but no idea how much he would have been on per week at Solihull.

I thought we matched them well in the first half, then got outmuscled in the second. We lost all threat when Shiavone came off, at least he was chasing balls down and making himself available. Murdoch should have been RB and Mercer LB, can’t get my head around that one. I thought Shepherd was poor today, might be down to lack of fitness but he contributed very little.
