  1. We’ve been offering up boggin fare for as long as I’ve been going. And we all still rock up.
  2. There’s no way to answer this without looking like a sad sack who writes 20 paragraphs on a Friday night. But I’d imagine that having half way decent facilities and infrastructure in place is the first step to putting yourself on a decent sustainable financial footing.
  3. The football on the pitch does need to improve, but so does the infrastructure. It’s not like we’ve been great without the distraction of having a new stand being built. I’m willing to put up with at least one more season of dreariness if the investments off the park result in improvements off it over time.
  4. It was irritating seeing the penalty stuff. Was like watching two weans demand yards.
  5. Technically aye, as we literally haven’t come up and down and up and down. We are expected to be an established 2nd tier team now. But this is the championship and it’s pretty much a tombola between who finishes 2nd-8th most seasons. At least in the last 5 or 6 years.
  6. You barely need to be competent to do ok in this league. See Raith this season and us last season. Hopefully next seasons focus is on recruiting proven quality at this level instead of punts from down south.
  7. Ah ok - probably watched it but zoned out! So not frozen out then.
  8. What goalposts? Is he being frozen out? f**k knows why he’s not playing.
  9. I’m currently posting from a pub in oban. Can report that the booze is undiscounted.
  10. Chalmers is 24 and hasn’t played anything other than loan football. His development phase is over. There’s no scope for improvement. He's immense here and there but anonymous most of the time. I worry that us trying to tie down Chalmers to a deal will be like trying to get Adeloye again. Fixated on an inconsistent player at the expense of just focusing on bringing in 3-4 half decent players at this level.
  11. We had a big team at the start of this season that somehow managed to still end up wafer thin. McAllister playing every match is a symptom of crap recruitment. He’s a very decent squad player. If we can pare back the squad, and bring in real quality but with utility men as back up, then fine. McAllister fits that bill as a utility player. He’s also not a pea hearted wee fud.
  12. I agree with you and know that I’m part of that tiny minority. He breenges in to every challenge, but at least he looks like he’s riled up and up for the occasion. I think he’d be a great squad player.
