Ando blew his chance on tops in the 13th leg. Taylor's 177 was a killer. However, it was a great match and Anderson did well to keep holding his own throw. Gary does seem to switch off at times on his opponents throw and loses legs by miles.

Great win for Anderson but what a bizarre last leg....

Wade seems to have lost height and replaced it with weight. Looked fat, pished and disinterested. He needs to get his head out of his arse.

Some cracking matches in the PL this year. In other news I have been reading Eric Bristow's autobiogrpahy (downloaded onto iPad via Kindle app ). Have to say Eric was some lad in his younger days. Without darts the big fella would have ended up in clink that's for sure. Some great stories of drinking, shagging...err..and even darts. Looking forward to the bit where the PDC is formed and his battles with Dartitis.

Find it a bit strange that Martin Adams is doing regular stints in the commentary box. If he was out of the tournament then fair enough but surely he should be more focussed on his own game rather than commentating. Almost feels a bit arrogant of him, as if it's his own tournament and be wants to be involved all the time. Cant imagine the likes of Lewis, Taylor, Wade, Anderson etc in the commentary booth with Sid Waddell while they were still involved in the competition.

Waites seems to be doing what Gary Anderson did at Lakeside i.e come in hyped up as a potential winner only to lose early. Waites would be better moving to the PDC before he gets into a rut.

Stuck at work so I missed Ando's masterclass. A 108 average is top tungsten. If he holds his nerve (and form) he can win this thing

Agreed. Alcinas looks a cracking player. For me Spain won it...talk of us bottling it is OTT.

To be fair Alcinas played like a crazy man....must have averaged well over 100. Almost every visit the Spaniard hit at least one treble.

Auld Bill Davis started to play a lot better in the pairs. Scotland did well to win that one. Great 97 to seal it.

109 average from Anderson....more like it. Davis would have lost to a decent pub player...is he really the second best darter in the whole of the USA?

Yaaass....brilliant comeback from Boab. Young fell apart in the last leg.

Thornton continues to struggle...not good for the leg difference.

Are we still confident about getting through ? Can see Anderson easily beating the weaker US and Spanish players. Thornton has it harder and could easily lose one if not both. We are going to need our boys to click in the pairs to have a chance.

Oh aye, forgot about him. He at least had an excuse for being bad....he was pished.

Starting to get worried here. Fancy us to beat the US but Spain could be tricky. As an aside the black Lad who plays for the USA is one of the worst players I've ever seen on TV.

Absolute shite from Scotland. Anderson's lead off darts in the pairs were pathetic. He kept looking at his hands as if to imply his darts were slipping. Fair play to Wales though, deserved to win and Webster was in excellent form. Still think we will go through but have to play a he'll of a lot better....and Anderson needs to wake up.

Thornton humped. Let's hope for better from Anderson.

Scrappy win for Scotland. Thought Anderson threw mainly dross and he can play a million times better. As usual the OTT praise of Anastasia was vomit inducing.

She got a bit better but the other lad (Tungsten Tolstoy) carried her. Seen Anastasia a few times and her darts don't seem to be getting any better. In further news Sid Waddell said Anastasia "blew him off" when he tried to talk to her. Lucky old Sidney. Russia ended up beating Gibraltar 6-4 and now face Scotland. If Anderson and Thornton are at it we should be looking at 6-2 at worst.
