  1. England have won the toss in all five of the one dayers being played in India. Cook has in fact won 10 of the last 11 spins against Dhoni. Wonder when the Indian skipper will twig Cook is using a double headed coin.
  2. That explains a lot. She must have been oot of her heid when she decided to marry Radek Stepanek.
  3. Towards the end of November and no, its played on carpet at the O2 as it has been for the last two seasons.
  4. Nope. Only tweaked his knee at the end of the second set in Oz. Was already on his way to a humping and has admitted as much. Other than that you seem to agree with me. Fairy snuff.
  5. Pedant alert. Ok, he hammered him in sets two and three. Check that, he annihilated him in the third set. Murray has actually beaten Nadal twice in slams. Presumably he was injured and going through the motions on both occasions. Murray won Shanghai last year against Federer so it makes no difference who turns up at Masters 1000, Murray can still win comfortably. Yes, Nole and Fed remain an issue in slams but perhaps his more aggressive play will pay dividends next season.
  6. Aye, if Murray needs a sports psychologist I doubt he'll be giving you a ring. Jeesh. Talk about glass half empty So Murray only humped Nadal because he was going through the motions? Crap. He hammered him. End of story. If you think Nadal goes through the motions against anybody it just shows an incredible ignorance of Nadal's mindset and a complete lack of respect to Murray.
  7. Ebden in the quarters. Nope I've never heard of him either. Nadal lost to Florian Mayer so Murray is the highest seed left.
  8. If it's in Oz it's usually Murray who does the hammering. Joko and Federer are the big threats in Melbourne.
  9. Nadal won 4 points in the final set. Apparently according to the reports I've read Murray was creaming winners everywhere and Nadal had no answer: http://www.atpworldtour.com/News/Tennis/2011/10/40/Tokyo-Sunday-Murray-Beats-Nadal-In-Final.aspx ...20th tour title in the bag. Hopefully he can take this form into next year and get that first slam in Oz.
  10. Murray wins his 19th ATP title by humping Donald "Wildcard" Young 6/2,6/0 in the final of the Thailand Open. Match lasted 48 minutes and Young won three points in the second set. Young had beaten that perennial underachiever Gael Monfils in the semis so had earned his place in the championship match. At 22 years old it was Young's first ATP final and he's currently ranked at a career high in the low 50's. Not convinced Young will ever amount to anything other than a journeyman. Job done by Murray though. Can only beat what's in front of you.
  11. Nice to see Gary winning again. Were the likes of Wade, Taylor, Barney, Whitlock etc not playing ?
  12. As usual I'd expect the big four to dominate the Slams AND Masters 1000. As a result it's a crap shoot who fills 5-10. Don't need to be that great. Couple of decent tournaments and in you go. In all honesty it's time for the likes of Berdych, Soderling, Monfils, Tsonga, Ferrer etc to compete more in Masters 1000. The players currently ranked 5-10 have 3 Masters 1000's between them while Murray has 7 of his own.
  13. 4th seed lost to the 2nd seed. To be expected. Thought the match was closer than the score suggests. Great effort from Andy to reach at least the semi of all 4 slams this year.
  14. Bogo stuffed Tsonga in straight sets in the previous round i.e he was in decent form and had beaten Andy last time they met. Solid win.
  15. Yipee !! Murray tanks Fat Dave Nalbandian 6/4,6/1
  16. Organisers must still be hoping for a Nadal/Federer final. Of more interest to me is can Andy win his first set in this years North American masters series ?
  17. Murray just got scudded 6-3,6-1 by world no.35 Kevin Anderson in the 2nd round. In the three North American hard court Masters Series events played this year at Indian Wells, Miami and now Montreal, Murray hasn't won a set. Bizarre when you consider in the past he's won Montreal/Toronto twice, Miami once and reached the final of Indian Wells. What used to be a strong part of his season has become an embarrassment.
  18. Heh. Good way to put the shitters through yer opponent.
  19. England are good. No denying that. However, there is no excuse for India's lack of application. They should be embarrassed to pick up their match fee. On the plus side as a White Rose supporter its good to see Tim Bresnan doing well.
  20. Just wait until the one dayers. I'm sure we'll find 12th man Luke Wright getting onto the field in the last 10 overs on a few occasions. England have always pushed the sub rule to the limit. Not really in the spirit of the game an aw rat.
  21. England do like a sub fielder.
  22. India have never repeated home form on their travels. Rankings can say what they like. Wouldn't fancy them to win anywhere out of the sub continent when it really mattered. England are playing superbly but the opposition simply doesn't have the stomach for a fight.
  23. India are pathetic. Gutless chumps who are only here for the one dayers. Mind you they were shite at that too in the West Indies.
