  1. Will we see an improvement in the pitch for the Dundee game? By then it'll have been 4 weeks since it was used? Have my doubts...
  2. That passage of of play sums it up. McGowan under no pressure inside Celtic half 3 seconds later the ball is with Mitov and back to Celtic it goes. I know it's not easy but that's the repeat every time of the little possession we do half..
  3. Yup. We're so passive in possession and it just results in immediately two passes backwards that puts us under pressure and needing to get rid and that gives possession back to Celtic. Easier said than done I know but just need to be braver.
  4. If Saints want to make anything of the direct counter attack up to Sidibeh then they need to target Welsh more. We've seen quite a few attempts at quick balls out to Sidibeh over a number of games, has he got on the end of any of them? Saints could play all day here and not score.
  5. 5-2-2-1 type shape again. Can see why they've gone back to that today. hopefully it's Carey further forward though as I can absolutely see a goal being lost with him trying a nutmeg at the edge of our own box.
  6. I see Sam McClelland hasn't played whatsoever since joining United as well.
  7. Kerr Smith returning to Villa. Injury related based on the comments so must have been a season ending injury for him.
  8. MacPherson has only managed 55 appearances in all competitions in nearly 3 seasons. Injuries happen but it's constant for him. Hard to not feel sorry for him in that regard. He must be beyond fed up. Though
  9. I know hiring these venues as has already been explained is very expensive and I know profit needs made but doesn't £100 a head price out the average Saints fan? Especially those with younger kids who'd struggle to justify spending that kind of money when you factor in £5+ drinks and everything else on top. Don't get me wrong I imagine it'll be a great night, just think it's likely to result in it being mostly attended by the more affluent section of our support plus the hardcore who don't miss anything. Personally 3 years ago I wouldn't have missed it... But now... I'll pass.
  10. There's an Olympics coming up soon so he'll be distracted with that shortly.
  11. What all other assistant managers and coaches do. He organises basically all the training, which has been reiterated a number of times by Levein.
  12. How sure are you that's actually true? They've probably barely spoken, based on Drey's comments when he was on Saints TV against St. mirren He mentioned how he'd not been at the training ground much at all. I believe he'd said it in a conversation when asked about the January signings in training. Think he said he'd never seen them train as well!
  13. I used to see them on the pitch when I was playing football up there midweek a few years ago. Don't know how they got broken but they're lying smashed up around the North End stand side of the training pitch or at least were until recently.
  14. Someone buy him a hand push mower. Well, I hope it's a case of he doesn't have one v being too lazy to use it. Does look like the weather has been mild it's needed cut and it's been done with the wee tractor thing like Mizfit mentioned.
  15. Potentially neither will be here next season as well. Jaiyesimi almost certainly won't be. I'd like Wright to get fit and then earn another deal but if he suffers another setback and misses the remainder of this season then he may not get an offer, if he did it would be on much reduced terms. He might decide at that point as well that it's time to head back south. Little harsh on his poty. He scored quite a few important goals for us from wing back.
  16. Another VAR mistake at McDiarmid today. Looked handball live from Devlin in the first half. Without question after seeing the replay confirms it. He jumps up and smashes the ball away from Clarks head with his arm. Ignored by VAR...
  17. So... The pitch - it's bad! It makes an already at times tough watch even tougher. I'm not going to pile in on the groundsman and question his role because I know next to nothing about maintaining football pitches so I've no idea what's to blame. We've got a number of weeks now between the next home game. If there's some warmer weather hopefully that'll improve it..
  18. More what seemed over thinking things from our management. Struggling to understand the logic of playing Smith on the left when Carey came on. It's not like he's going to cut inside and shoot etc. He really seemed uncomfortable. As for the game. Horrific. 18 added minutes required in total. Referee with zero ability to control the nonsense and gamesmanship.
  19. One of the worst games I've ever been witnessed. Saints are pish. Livi... Well...
  20. Depends on your mobility and time you arrive but there's quite a few areas in the housing scheme within 10 min walk. If you're coming in from Edinburgh direction I'd suggest coming into Perth early at Broxden and then parking around the second image that I've scribbled on. All is basically just a walk down the hill and across the road. I see someone else suggested B&Q. That's fine but anything down on the road outside McDiarmid is just solid at full time. Less walk but much longer wait to get out at the end. If you do get somewhere where I've said by the time you get to the car you can just head back out the way you came in and onto Broxden skipping the traffic coming out of the stadium and Tesco as well as skipping the traffic lights. Attached screenshots and worked on the assumption you're not familiar with Perth. I used to live in Bridge of Earn out the way you'll likely be coming in and would park there all the time.
  21. Much more like it. I don't expect miracles but I'd be more than willing to go and watch that team on a Wednesday night in Aberdeen if the effort shown tonight is the benchmark like you'd get from the Tommy Wright teams - you knew you'd never leave a game feeling let down by the commitment, fight and organisation. As after recent performances I definitely wasn't willing to even contemplate heading up there this week. You won't always win of course but if you compete like that you'll give yourself a chance and at least give supporters something to be positive about! If they can match that on Saturday, especially with an early goal Livi will struggle. Will they be able to produce similar though? I think Random Guy pointed this out Saturday but who knew having a proper holding player in front of the back three would allow the back three to do what they do best. Someone protecting them properly especially in front of Gordon stopped him being dragged out of position so easily when he feels he needs to step out. Carey has something to offer but it's not in front of the back three. Its further forward.
  22. The Dundee fans will be here in a minute as well. Because ya know... They're having the time of their life in 6th
