  1. Actually forgot all about North End. A decent side and they have, what seems to be a massive squad. I'm sure they'll be disappointed in the start they've made. These top sides are all capable of beating each other so it'll definitely be closer this season.
  2. Another good win for Broughty. Setting a good pace. East Craigie showing that losing key players doesn't phase them. They are a tough nut to crack. Lochee Utd not getting it their own way, but they'll be there or thereabouts come the end of season. Downfield with a good win. I fancy them to stay the distance this year. Carnoustie winning again after their poor start. They'll get better as the season goes on imo. Carnoustie had the league tied up early doors last season but I think it's going to be a cracker this season. It'll go the distance.
  3. Carnoustie win on pens after leading 3 times in the game. A really good game. Some season for Carnoustie. Another league title, a cup win, and beaten finalists in the other cup. The team to beat no doubt. Will be interesting to see who they bring in as manager.
  4. Went to this game too. Carnoustie definitely deserved winners. Not a bad performance from them, looked really strong.
  5. Kudos to Carnoustie who have shown incredible consistency and resilience over the season. A big squad definitely helps as the season goes on. Looks like the title is in the bag now. A notable mention to Broughty though. Other than a couple of poor results early doors, they've been bang at it for a good few months now. They deserve to finish runners up imo.
  6. Carnoustie's to lose now.
  7. Still a lot of games to be played so probably a bit premature to be writing them off just yet. But, it's a big ask, especially as Downfield and Carnoustie don't look like slipping up on current form. Another really good win for Broughty and still sitting top, however they seem to follow up a brilliant win by dropping stupid points to the lesser sides. They'll be kicking themselves. Probably down to a 2 horse race for me now going by that league table.
  8. Great win. Definitely going to be there for the run in. Carnoustie not letting up either though, and Lochee Utd and Downfield are needing them to start dropping points. Both still to play Carnoustie away. Going to be a cracking climax.
  9. You surely can't leave this here! Spill the beans
  10. You condone an adult punching a 14 year old. That's all I need to know.
  11. Bridge of Don manager apparently punching a 14 year old Carnoustie fan. Regardless of the circumstances behind this, you'd hope to see him charged by the police and sacked by his club.
  12. Assuming we're both talking about the same things,I've heard this too.
  13. Great win for Downfield yesterday. Bad one for Lochee Utd. Carnoustie win again. They appear to be the team to beat but will drop points imo. Who's winning it?
  14. It's hotting up. Looking like a 3 team shoot out. May the best team win.
  15. Talking about ground improvements!! I took in Carnoustie's game v Glenafton yesterday. The facilities are rank! Not sure I've seen worse in any other junior ground. 1 toilet that's housed in a rickety old wooden hut thing. It's disgusting. A number of other wooden structures that look like they can collapse at any time, including the snack bar. It's an eyesore. A top side in the region, and relatively successful too. They really should have better facilities than they do. I know times are hard and it takes a lot of funds, but surely with DJ Laing as the owner and main sponsor, it shouldn't be that difficult. There is definite potential, space wise. Does anyone know if there are plans to upgrade? If so, what are the plans?
  16. I think they are worse. Think they lost a couple of players but not really sure how that's impacted performances. I have noticed that Jamie Gill was benched for weeks on end, then I didn't see his name at all last week. Fall out with the manager? Always thought Gill was one of their better players, just my opinion. I would counter your take on it re the manager. I don't actually think he should be playing. Way past his best. Should concentrate on managing now.
  17. Clearly nobody has any thoughts then [emoji1787]
  18. Mid season report. North End still leading the way, showing no signs of slowing up. Great consistency. In with a shout of the league without a doubt. Broughty looking not bad but drop stupid point every few weeks by the look of it. Still doing well. Kirrie winning but will come up short. Don't think their results against the top teams are good enough. East Craigie taking a doing from Downfield. Downfield vastly improved and will be there or thereabouts come the end of season. East Craigie will also be up there. Lochee Utd dropping more points. What a shocking week it's been for them. Need to sort themselves out before it's too late this season. Carnoustie quietly going about their business. would be at least 6 points ahead of nearest challenger if they win their games in hand. The team to beat it seems. Tayport in free fall since new manager went in. It's between North End and Carnoustie for me. Carnoustie will definitely drop points, too close to call. Closely followed by the resurgent Downfield in 3rd. Thoughts?
  19. Wonder what part Stanton had in all this? He was the one getting pics taken with Harper. I don't believe for one minute he hasn't ok'd this.
  20. Can I ask, when you say "we". What is your position at the club?
  21. Lochee Utd floundering lately. Maybe a bit stale under the long serving management team?
  22. Looks like he's put the beef on. Too many Belgian biscuits.
