  1. Any idea what the procedure was when the Talbot v Pollok match was abandoned after 15 mins in 2013?
  2. Pitch is looking great, despite all the rain that has fell over the last few days. KO is 19:30 rather than the 19:45 as stated above which has now been changed
  3. Does anyone have any idea of the breakdown for Scottish Cup prize money/appearance money as such per round for this years tournament?
  4. Any idea of the breakdown of the prize money/appearance money for the Scottish Cup this year per round?
  5. Glenafton are aiming to be licensed for the start of the 2023/2024 season, floodlights and a new disabled shelter will be up in the next month or so, and we have been working behind the scenes over the past 6 months or so, so shouldn't have too much still to do
  6. Has there been a date set for a decision to be made? Surely time must be of the essence with the league season essentially finished, contracts running out and players going to other teams etc
  7. Does anyone else think it is a farce that a goalkeeper was on the teamlines for Rutherglen against Pollok on the 14th of May, and has played for Blantyre and Rutherglen against Glenafton in the ten days following that? This is really taking the loophole that @glensmad spoke about to the extremes. It is a sad state of affairs for the league and has turned it into a farce. For that reason it is surely clear that the Rutherglen Secretary should be stepping down from his post in the Management Committee, as he has zero credibility remaining.
  8. Are the players who played as trialists signing with Cumbernauld and Blantyre next season? If not why would any player at the end of an 11 month 38 game season want to go and play a few games with another team, never mind teams that are already relegated and with all due respect don't really have much to play for? I do think it is obvious Rutherglen have chosen to help Blantyre and Cumbernauld to benefit themselves, which is a loophole and allowed as previouslt said, but it does make you wonder what other tactics if any they have used to help these 2 clubs.
  9. I can assure you that Blantyre Victoria have had no contact with the Rutherglen Glencairn Secretary whatsoever over the past 3 weeks. Out of interest, when were the previous Rutherglen players released to enable them to play as trialists for Blantyre? Or did they only play with Rutherglen at start of season? Seems to be a bit of hearsay and nobody is wanting to clear it up
  10. Yes fair enough with the trialists loophole rules I get your point, however I don't see any other team in the decision using it as a method to improve their own survival chances? Whilst its not illegal, it is certainly not in the spirit of the game or the league. Is it fair to assume that the Rutherglen Secretary is quite knowledgeable about loopholes in the existing constiution? If so, would it also be fair to assume if Blantyre contacted him asking for advice on their situation before the Glenafton game, he would be able to identity a loophole for this too? I personally believe Blantyre were well scripted on what to do and say the other Wednesday game, and they had no intention of playing a 90 minute match that is clear. What club or clubs would benefit from Blantyre's conduct?
  11. Apologies, the secretary my mistake. Yes I get that is a conflict of interest so that was never going to be any issue. Just seems a bit strange to me, how the trialist appearance of the Cumbernauld keeper came about last night, did the secretary know there was a gap in the rules and advise Cumbernauld of this? Seems to be a bit of hearsay Blantyre also had some Rutherglen players guesting as trialists? Just seems a very strange situation all round!
  12. I Definitely have some sympathy for Rutherglen, in the manner of their relegation, no team with that amount of points should be getting relegated in any season. The sympathy lessens a bit when you find out that it looks like Rutherglen have been releasing players on two occasions to play against Glenafton, a gap in the constitution which looks like being amended next year, however it is a ludcrious situation whereby a goalkeeper was on the teamlines for Rutherglen on the 14th of May, is now playing in a league match ten days later for another team at this stage of the season. The keeper to his credit had an excellent game, with some oustanding saves. Perhaps you could argue that Rutherglen would do what any other team would have done in the situation, however the management committee's decision in regards to the Blantyre match must not be influenced in the same way, and it is a worry when the Rutherglen President seems to be on the said management committee.
