I note that our manager is now being referred to as th "Gaffer" I mentioned this to my wife and she naively asked "Is that because he's made so many gaffes?" Maybe she listens to my rants after all!

GAFFER SATISFIED BY PROGRESS Saturday 21st May 2022 Just read it again. Awful.....simply awful from start to finish! I am so sad at what's happening at the end of Castle Road.

Re "What's on at the DFC" How about a decent game of football on a Saturday Afternoon? Surely a decent crowd would provide better revenue than ABBA tributes and Psychic nights? Is the Rock Comedy Club running the whole show? Wish the board would focus their efforts on the football side of things.

I really want to renew my season ticket but the Board/Owners have to convince me that they have a real commitment to the continued future of Dumbarton FC. The future seems worryingly vague. The invisible men need to emerge from the shadows and convince us face-to face of their best intentions and their real passion for the club, I don't want to withold my pension and make team-building more difficult but the way things are right now I'm just not feeling enough passion from the top of the house. What about the promise to be "submerged in the community"? Can we assume real plans for a 151st year?...... all very worrying.... Come on guys give us some warm feelings!

Wilson and Love? All we need is a Jardine and we've got The Beach Boys!... Not getting many Good Vibrations though!

Thanks Moonster. Just read Linkedin. Sure love to see some kind of reassurance from him on the Sons' website that tells us about his long term commitment Dumbarton FC and a description of what he's bringing to the table. Surely that is the minimum we should expect.

Excuse my ignorance if it's just me but what do we know about our Director Mr Colin Piechniczek? Why is there no photograph or biography on the website with the other board members?

the "forever optimist" told us after last Tuesday's debacle that it was only half time in the tie. At half time in his contract what evidence do we have that the second half performance result will be any better than what we saw on Saturday? How can a manager take full resposibility and consistently blame defeats on players making "individual errors". I will continue to support my club until the end but I have so little confidence in seeing an improvement with the current set up. Neither the board nor the manager fill me with confidence.

GPS vests? Maybe the fans can get them too. That will show the board where we are on match days. What a way to spend our meagre resources. I am gob-smacked. I would love to see the business case for that decision.

If this board do not sack Farrell I really fear for the future of my club. A club that I have suported for 62 years. This has been a sad season. A ban on season ticket purchase might send a message to the board. What worries me is......... does this board even care?
