  1. Nice. Also hints that our away kit is likely to be white or similar, given we may need a 3rd kit against some teams.
  2. To have only one red card is impressive though, given the number of yellows.
  3. Has anyone actually said he was excellent? I don't recall seeing anything on here at least. He grew into the game, which is all you can expect for a player who's played little more than bounce games or testimonials for the past few months. I'd hope he stays on, gets some game time and becomes a regular but he needs experience and some continual coaching on some areas.
  4. Well done to United, been a good season, we've run them close, but just not enough when it really mattered at the end of the season. Best of luck next year. Hopefully you'll continue to get your academy lads involved regularly.
  5. It seems that Partick have no problem in getting goals against Airdrie. 3-0 up. 10 man Ayr still holding Dundee United too.
  6. Our fullbacks this season have never been ones to get forward often, mostly because we had 1 midfielder and they were kept back to cover. That said, we do miss the crossing ability from Millen, that has to be addressed in the summer. Our midfield has been non-existant most of the season, we've seen numerous times that teams will just get so much space in the middle of the park as Byrne/Brown are isolated and its a free run on the defence, you'd hope that Murray, as a self-confessed Arsenal fan would take a few pages from Artetas book and make midfield the main focus of our gameplan. Stanton is playing a bit deeper now, as a result of our change since January, it shows in his final third contributions. Was outstanding last night. I know a few have been on his back costing us goals on occasions, but his points gained vs lost stats are only swinging one way and thats part of why we're where we are. Fair summary of Rudden. He's just chaos and little else. Every touch is a lottery, probably a worse first touch than Callum Smith. The good thing is, Smith has the ability to make up for that deficiency.
  7. Another 3 points that Kev has won for us, some saves last night. Lucky to win but keeps United waiting for another week.
  8. Thats a good point, surprised it wasn't mentioned either.
  9. As talked about last summer with the concept images etc its part of revitalising the club and what is a very worn down old stadium/stand. Modernising the outside (as well as making big changes internally too) will be good for the club. The addition of an LED board will be massive for advertising as well overall, much less costly overall than made to measure PVC adverts that need to be taken down/replaced. A shame about the off street cafe, I can understand the concern from the council about parking given the location of the stadium on that corner. Had it been at the North Stand, it might have been OK'd as there is a car park there. Putting a sports bar in where the current offices are is also a good idea, generating income on match days and potentially non-match days as well. The club needs to look at additional revenue streams to remain competitive.
  10. I'm sure Alex Samuel has already been on the mystical blower to ask for divine intervention for another hat-trick. Only scored 1 goal since then too. I don't see this being anything other than a turgid, scrappy game, probably pissing down and windy too.
  11. Same amount of total goal contributions yeah. Stand corrected.
  12. And one doing considerably better than the other. Nisbet has not been great at Millwall.
  13. An incredibly tough watch today, for various reasons. The conditions again played a part and Partick were stubborn and defended well when they had to. Great save from Mitchell to deny Rudden in what was probably our only real clear chance of the game. For all of our good work in getting forward we just don't create a lot of chances for our forwards right now. However the biggest factor in it being a tough afternoon was both teams absolute inability to control a football at times. Many occasions in the first half someone controlled the ball out of touch. Rudden, Dick, Stanton and Mullin all guilty of it for us and Whoever was on the Partick right just watched as the ball skipped infront of him without even attempting to stop it. One of those days for them I think. Dabrowski looks so scared of the ball into his feet, you can see when its passed back to him that he's really unsure of what to do, very uncomfortable for him. I hope over the summer he, McNeil and Thomson spend a good bit of time practicing this to get more at ease with it. Its part of the game for modern goalkeepers. Kev needs to work on it. Positives, Vaughan looked up for it, made it a different game when he came on. Hamilton linking up with Vaughan was good to see and Brown in midfield was a great addition. Would be good to see him and Matthews paired up. As for the season, while we've faltered in the last few games and played our part in Dundee United pretty much guaranteeing the title is theirs, to be where we are after the mediocrity last season is a huge achievement. No matter what happens in the play-offs, its been a great season in all. Bodes well for next if we can strengthen and learn from the mistakes.
  14. That was a tough watch, guaranteed second place. Which is good, but we've let the challenge go pretty easily. Still, playoffs await.
  15. It's been a showcase of some of the worst first touches from professional footballers so far. Really dire stuff. At least 5 times has the ball been miscontrolled out of play. Still, can only get better. Hopefully
  16. Sure, except they're 7 points ahead. We win our next 2, we'll be 1 point behind.
  17. United don't look like they've needed to get our of 1st gear either, this looks like a cakewalk for them without having to really work for it. This is a much different Morton to the one we've seen earlier in the season, whats happening?
  18. That's a good introduction into hoping others wish you happy birthday...so happy birthday. Less ranting at referees in your upcoming years?
  19. I'm thinking i've read previously that part of the gate from the playoff games goes to the SPFL as well. Hope I read that wrong.
