  1. Worth noting we’ve not lost in the league by more than a single goal either.
  2. It wouldn’t put me off but the two changes (one at Haymarket, one being a walk through Glasgow) requires slightly more forward planning than just jumping on a train in Kirkcaldy that will take you directly to Arbroath, Dundee etc.
  3. Public transport can be a bit of a pain in the hoop as you generally have to walk through Glasgow City Centre to change trains to get down to Ayr.
  4. Yeah, the contact situation was apparently a mess but he beat (ironically) Falkirk to the league in 19/20 with what will have been a significantly smaller budget, then came 3rd in the Championship in the Covid season with what will have been one of the smaller full time budgets… it’s the season after that he made a horses arse of things. He’s undeniably got his faults, and I’d usually be the first to jump on them, but is he a better manager than McPake? For me, yes. Falkirk we’re a basket case when he took over, Peter Grant and Yogi aside you still had the bones of a decent side when you went down to League One, which is a league most full time teams should expect to skoosh anyway. Will he have Falkirk in the top half of the Championship next season? I wouldn’t bet against it.
  5. I know one or two who wouldn't agree with that… but you’re never going to get on with everybody in football.
  6. I won’t deny you that, but for me there’s no question McGlynn is the better manger. Look at the arse McPake has made of recruitment this season, there’s no way McGlynn does that, even on a limited budget you just know he’d find a hidden gem or two and be able to pull a rabbit out the hat in the loan market.
  7. I’m going to email our BoD and have it seen to that you get stuck in the main stand corner on your return to Stark’s if we don’t get the behind the goal option at Somerset.
  8. Yes, and hopefully we won’t be shoved into that ramshackle of a main stand.
  9. It’s a fair point, but the side McGlynn built which won league one back in 19/20 was in a similar mould. A few additions and one or two departures and I see no reason why the momentum and “good feeling” you get from promotion can’t propel them on to a season at the top end of the table next season.
  10. Yeah I expect McGlynn and Falkirk will have a fantastic season next season, perhaps be up challenging for the title. The season after that will probably be the big test.
  11. Any danger of you having to go part time or at least hybrid if you are relegated this time around?
  12. Hold on, you don’t seriously believe Edinburgh City’s Kieran MacDonald is a better player than Connor O’Riordan, who Blackburn have just spent half a million on?
  13. We also have an undefeated competitive record against Barcelona to be fair.
  14. At least if you do go down you’ve got the right man in charge to take you back up, no?
  15. I think that is their natural level really. The years of spending on credit in the SPL warped some of their fans perceptions.
  16. I don’t think it’s actually McPake’s fault, he’s clearly not a terrible manger, he took you up, but you had a whole transfer window to sort your injury crisis out and you’ve done f**k all. Your owners and letting your club wither on the vine, it will be years and years before your academy beats fruit… if it ever does.
