  1. That guys channel is fantastic. If you enjoy that he's switched over to "Channel 5 news" after some issue with the brand.
  2. Watched Winter Of Fire last night. I've already seen it before and I'm aware that the documentary leaves out some of the uncomfortable moments so it doesn't exactly pass the non bias test however it's still a compelling watch and with recent developments you could argue such decisions have now been justified with regards to the framing of the revolution. It's especially more poignant watching now when you see them talk about how happy they are near the end without realising what's round the corner. They're talking about how certain streets will go down in history and some of the name of the victims, I'm sure they will but I can't help but feel they'll have been massively overshadowed by the latest addition to the history books.... it also made me feel quite foolish looking back that I was surprised the Ukrainians have been so resilient during the invasion, after watching this again I realised there was no chance they were fleeing and going to let Putin walk right in. This was the start of their life or death battle for freedom. Would score it an 8.5/10 as far as conflict documentaries go. Certainly worth a watch if you're intrigued as to the internal politics of Ukraine and what lead to where we're at now.
  3. The answer is literally in the post you quoted buddy. Looking at the time you posted this I'm guessing you were having a good night though so no hard feelings.
  4. I've seen a bizarre intriguing pivot from some crazy yanks saying Russia being shite is terrible because it means China will just absorb parts of Russia and become too powerful in the region like they're going to mutate into some unstoppable monster.
  5. Appreciate that they do exist on Twitter and the likes but I don't know any Rangers fans that think their is an agenda but plenty that feel like we have had shit decisions not go our way such to the point we'd happily have VAR.
  6. I'm not really a fan of Sturgeon but is this not a bit like the whole nuclear yes or no trivial politics you see on Question Time? I think if she had effectively ruled out any form of potential NATO intervention then she would be accused of failing the "would you push the button" test that the UK media loves to subject politicians to. I think most politicians will be on high alert when it comes to ruling out possible deterrences at this time.
  7. Been playing Dying Light 2 today. It took a wee bit longer than I would like to open up into the free roam part but now that I'm here I'm thoroughly loving it. I don't know how but they've managed to improve on the free running element, it's so much fun. Always struck me as a bit peculiar how Assasins Creed smashed it with free running and innovative exploration only to be overtaken by many other games that have it as a side part. Assasins Creed with dying light movement would be spectacular.
  8. I am so raging at this I've had to open a can of juice to calm down.
  9. That's fair then, Roofe should have obviously been booked then. Not that it's right but you could tell the referee was feeling the pressure with there being a lot of booing due to time wasting, was it not just shortly after the boy was tying his laces on the pitch at the goal kick? I think the majority of our referees do tend to crumble under home pressure.
  10. A speaking to or whatever you wanna call it. I wasn't aware caution was a direct term for a yellow card. The point still stands though.
  11. Is it established that blocking a free kick is a yellow card offence? If so then they should both have been booked of course but if it's just a caution then obviously Roofe should not have been booked as he was just on the pitch as opposed to Ferguson who had already committed a few offences.
  12. My bad. So Roofe that came on later than Arfield was the one that blocked the ball, that makes my point more apparant. Is it unreasonable to presume the ref gave the yellow to Ferguson for persistent offences rather than just because he blocked the ball? I think people are going off what the commentator said, who was absolut ear rot the whole game anyway. Not that I'm fussed about the decisions as we got the win but another terrible one was the foul on Arfield, looked a straight red to me.
  13. Just finished the Kanye West documentary Jeen-yuhs. As someone that loved the College Dropout and most of what followed it was a fascinating watch. The first two episodes were particularly interesting but i just found the last part pretty sad in all honesty.
  14. Yeah it's fascinating to watch, I often thought some of the QAnon type stuff was people taking the piss and they were fully self aware until it dawned on me that I'm the naive one and the pepe the frog/wojak/incel/sigma grindset giga chads stuff is actually melting some peoples brains to the point they have completely irrational points of view and disregard any form of critical analysis. Next US elections should be a good laugh... Loosely related I saw on Twitter some Russian Orthodox church leader effectively accusing the West of genocide in countries where they refuse to hold gay parades which isn't too far away from the whole "snowflakes spending too much time on gender recognition" Western argument I've seen a few weirdos raise.
  15. The thing I've found the most bizarre with this war is how the 'Murican right wing nutters that have spent the past 50 years being paranoid about Russia and anything even slightly connected are now in awe of Putin and actually supporting some of the actions because strongman is strong or something. Did Trump really fry their brains that bad, is this a common thing amongst the Republicans or is it perhaps more fringe group stuff that gets unweighted traction on social media?
  16. Forgive my naivety but I don't understand how the death count can be so high? I've not watched any videos but are the fans carrying blades or something like that or is it just kicking people in the head when on the ground? Usually people pull people away when someone's clearly knocked out and finished. Is there a linkage between the sheer violence Mexico sees regularly that lead to desensitisation and such violence perhaps? I don't know anything about Mexico football culture are the narco types involved perhaps??
  17. https://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/ian-blackford-hints-at-possible-delay-to-snps-indyref2-plans-3598939 Tick tock...
  18. I have just started playing the first one. I wasn't expecting I'd like it as much as I do. It's seriously fun, did anyone else find it quite difficult to begin with? Even shooting robots in the sweet spot seems to take loads of arrows.
  19. Lewis Ferguson had been on the pitch all game and committed a few fouls and niggly wee tackles before he blatantly blocked the Rangers free kick after a period of intense time wasting. Scott Arfield had been subbed on, barely had time to have made any errors that the referee might punish and then got in the way of a free kick quickly taken. I can fully understand why the referee judged it in the way that he did. I'm not sure why this is such a massive talking point either way. The better team won.
