  1. It would be nice for our right back to stay on the pitch and not pick up his 50th suspension of the season. Few Falkirk fans on here were slaughtering Leon McCann not too long ago he's a cracking player and was great for us. Only thing is I'd of liked to have seen him go to a Championship team instead of staying in league 1. Last season we targeted him with long diagonal balls to Gabby McGill which made things awkward for him due to his height. (Might be our tactic on Saturday). Telfer has been very 'meh' for us, not been great but I've definitely seen worse players play for us than him. With the amount of Falkirk posters getting tore into him, it would be genuinely hilarious if he scored his debut goal on Saturday and Airdrie won. I refrain from making any wild predictions on here as it usually bites me on the a*se.
  2. When Airdrie beat Falkirk 2-1 at home during the lockdown season Ally Roy scored for the diamonds and a certain Mr Telfer for the bairns with Euan Deveney also on the bench. A terrific front 3 for us that day with Euan O'Reilly, Ally Roy and Jack McKay all starting and Dean Ritchie in the holding role in midfield.
  3. That's where you're wrong. He's a player that is exciting, can play as a striker and in the number 10 role. He's a player that raises 'bums off seats' when he's on the ball running and terrorising defenders with his dribbling and lethal finishing. If it wasn't for his injury, he'd be currently playing in the Leeds United team. I would describe him as a 'once in a generation talent'.
  4. 'One of my das mates was pals with a family member of Rico's afore this and she told them that during the summer Jai owed some gangster money for powder and he got dealt with that's why he's not been playing for QP. And rico's been driving him about selling. It's 100% true, the two of them think they their Ronnie and reggie Kray".
  5. I remember it was Dean Ritchie that played left back in a 1-0 win during the covid season when McCann was out. Jesus, Dean Ritchie at left back [emoji1] Went with 1-0 Airdrie in my predictions but I think a draw seems most likely, agree an earlier goal for either side will be crucial. I do kind of have the fear for this game so would take a point. Gal loves a goal against Falkirk would love to know how many he's scored into them. This game would be perfect for Charlie to open his account for the diamonds.
  6. Lyness has only really played a handful of games at every team he's been with, he's older at 31 but wouldn't say he's experienced either. Watching the goals against us yesterday is even worse than i imagined. The sooner Josh Rae is back the better.
  7. Clyde 2-1 Edinburgh Dunfermline 1 -2 Queen of the South Falkirk 0-1 Airdrieonians Kelty Hearts 0 -1 Peterhead Montrose 0-0 Alloa Athletic
  8. I honestly thought that it was a number 9 that was drew on [emoji23]
  9. During our unbeaten streak we haven't played particularly great and our last 3 games have been against the bottom 3 sides of the division. Our away games this year we've only beaten Clyde and Peterhead. Scoring goals isn't a problem for us but we are very soft in midfield and weak in defense. I think Dundee will be too strong especially with your good home record and will comfortably win 2/3-0. We have no squad depth and virtually no bench so if we can get through this game without any injuries or suspensions that's the main thing. If the game was at home I'd be feeling more confident as our home record is pretty good and we beat St Mirren 2-0 in the cup in July. Will be a tough ask to beat 3rd in the championship away from home. Would need Dundee to miss a barrell load of chances and LJ and Gal to be on fire.
  10. Dion Dublin makes Kevin Thomson look like an excellent commentator.
  11. Not sure what was worse, the game or having to listen to John Potter shouting nonsense from the dugout.
  12. That was a massive 3 points today, only 3 points behind second place!!! That game was torture to watch, We really needed that though.
  13. Does anyone know the last time the club has organised a supporters bus to an away game? If Gary does continue to run his buses to away games I'd imagine most folk (myself included) that has used his bus previously will continue to do so. I do feel when Gary was struggling to get a hold of bus companies someone from the club should of stepped in and tried to help him out. Obviously the timing of the club running a supporters bus to the away games isn't great but at least they are trying to do something now (albeit late than never). I also feel the club should make this bus available for everyone, not just season ticket holders and 1924 members. The club should just overturn his ban as this is getting incredibly petty and the club should try and work with Gary not against him to try and get more fans to away games.
  14. Airdrieonians 1-1 Kelty Hearts Clyde 1-2 Falkirk FC Edinburgh 1-3 Alloa Athletic Peterhead 0-2 Dunfermline Athletic Queen of the South 2-2 Montrose
  15. After the 4-0 thumping of Montrose I thought we were going to start to kick on but dropping points at home to Peterhead with a 1-1 draw is incredibly frustrating. After a terrible start for Kelty it looks like you've started to pick up a bit of form, albeit with last weeks defeat to Montrose. Is scoring goals an issue for Kelty? As you have only scored 14 goals. In Kelty's last 5 games both teams have scored, which doesn't bode well for ourselves as we haven't won a game in which the opposition has scored in all season. Looking at the Skybet odds Airdrie currently odds on favourites at 3/4, draw stands at 13/5 and Kelty as underdogs at 3/1. I'd say a draw seems the most likely outcome for the game probably a 1-1. I think this will also be the first time Kelty will be visiting New Broomfield.
  16. Not too long ago Airdrie were flying and top of the league, I think the team are more than capable of going on a decent run as they've done so not so long ago whilst playing some pretty good football. Everyone wanted Ian Murray sacked during the lockdown season, the board stuck with him and he turned it round. Who do you suggest the club bring in to replace McCabe? There is really a lack of mamagerial talent out there. I'm not a complete happy clapper I've criticised his tactics and his lack of signings more than enough on here and I fully agree the bench at the moment is an embarrassment. I'm pretty sure the manager knows how thin the squad is and the defensive issues he's got to surely. I'm just saying a lot can change in this league and a few wins can see you climb up the table and other teams could end up having a poor run later on down the line like ourselves. If we aren't gonna win the league I'm not bothered if we finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th as long as we are in the mix that is the main thing.
  17. Not sure if any game yet could be season defining, or even the ones before the new year, other teams will definitely drop points too. The league is that bonkers that if we went on a run we'd be right up there at the top end of the table. After the Montrose performance and with the right tactics applied I think McCabe can make a success of this, but he had to realise that with the players at our disposal, we have to be more solid and less open. That's what will win us the points as scoring goals isn't an issue. If he doesn't address this then we will experience similar to Saturday. I think the board will give McCabe till the end of the season unless we are in any danger of getting relegated. I'd be all for Scott Agnew coming back in as like a 'Head Coach'. He would be someone who is well liked by the players, someone familiar to the majority of the squad and someone who can give the management team a different perspective from watching the game on the sidelines. Don't think Murray would of taken him to Raith as his assistant for no reason.
  18. The Lowland league is incredibly inconsistent, like with Celtic B beating Broomhill 6-1, they also lost 4-2 to Cumbernauld Colts, are 7th in the Lowland League and are currently sitting two places below the Civil Service Strollers and 5 places behind the University of Stirling. The only two stand outs I can think of are Rocco Vata (who at 17 is already having European clubs look at him) and Adam Brooks who Celtic rate quite highly, the chances of getting either on a loan would be very slim.
  19. The weird thing about this league is even if you're absolutely p*sh, going on a good run can shoot you right up the table. Although finishing in 4th place 21 points behind 2nd and going up via the play offs does sound a good laugh too [emoji1]
  20. That goal we conceded was unbelievably soft. Even more annoyed watching it in the highlights than I was at the game, complete shambles.
  21. Agnew was apparently at the game last week as well. Would love to see him come in as a coach and have an influence on the sidelines.
