  1. I think that’s a question for the W7 lads but I reckon they will stick with that one. As you said, certain songs seem to follow players and managers wherever they go. If I recall, the Andy Webster song (September by Earth, Wind & Fire) has been used by lots of clubs including ourselves.
  2. Here’s to you Stephen Robinson The board have taken some amount of criticism this season but even the most anti board/Kibble/Smisa person can’t deny that we’ve got this one right. Hopefully we get a decent travelling support up at Dens on Wednesday night to welcome the new gaffer & Diarmuid.
  3. Morecambe fans seem absolutely raging about him leaving. The majority of Motherwell fans can’t speak highly enough of him. Good stuff.
  4. Happy with that. 42% win rate at Motherwell, guided them to two cup finals, 3rd place finish in 2019-20. Definitely a more sensible option when you look at the other names mentioned this week.
  5. Bizarre that some fans think Brown & Naismith are very risky appointments but Shelley Kerr, who’s only experience of managing in men’s football was at Lowland League level, would be a good appointment. She is a very highly rated manager, there’s no denying that but your asking someone who’s never managed a men’s professional club to take charge when we are on track to achieving our highest league position in years. That for me, is a risk not worth taking.
  6. Awk well, is it a two horse race now? The scenes when Naismith knocks Hearts out of the Scottish Cup
  7. SG was a great servant to the club, no one can deny that. If it wasn’t for him, the club could have ended up in the hands of Reg Brierley. But in recent times, these needless tweets that he comes away with do nothing but damage the club. Someone who was a club chairman for 18 years should really know better.
  8. Would that be the same Stewart Gilmour who, along with his other board members were happy to sell the club to a consortium of Argentine businessmen who had a history of dodgy dealings at their previous club in Chile. There may be some discontent from supporters towards the SMISA/Kibble but conspiracy posts like that help absolutely no one.
  9. There is a special general meeting arranged for SMISA members on the 1st March, will be interested to hear if any of the members raise their concerns about this. I heard the last SMISA members meeting didn’t go too well, was pretty much a shouting match with the Tony Fitz getting the majority of the blame.
  10. JR was at Sunderland’s match yesterday. He must be settled in Northumberland if he opted to commute to Edinburgh instead of moving back permanently. Considering there’s not many vacancies up here atm, he could be holding out for a gig down south as you said.
  11. No manager gets every signing right. Goodwin gave us class signings like McGrath & Alnwick but also brought in duds like Andreu, Djorkaeff & Junior Morias. JR was the same as was all the previous Saints gaffers in recent times. As long as a manager gets the majority of his signings right then that’s what counts.
  12. Cheers bud. It’s a great incentive for the next gaffer. Guide us to a win on Wednesday night, take us up to fourth in the table & keep the unbeaten run going
  13. Betting on the new gaffer down for a second day. Can we expect an appointment before Wednesday night?
  14. I get that there is a few unhappy fans when it comes to the Kibble but do people seriously think the board would risk arguably our most successful season in years to appoint someone based on who their dad is? I trust the board to appoint the best possible candidate.
  15. Very bizarre to see our former chairman claiming on Twitter that Naismith is only linked with the job due to his Dad’s (rumoured) position within Kibble. He’s clearly a highly rated coach, works with both the first team and U18s at Hearts, brought onto Clarke’s coaching staff at Scotland.
  16. Completely agree, the guy is deceptively quick and reads the game so well Hopefully the red card gets overturned and the big man is back in the starting XI on Wednesday night.
