    "I will now read a short statement. On the evening of Monday 31st January I spotted David Goodwillie walking along the street. I stopped my car and offered him a lift. Whilst driving we started chatting about football matters, I asked if he would like to visit the boardroom at Stark's Park where I was on my way to when I picked him up. He replied yes. On entering the boardroom I slipped knocking Mr Goodwillie's hand into a pen which became lodged in his hand. As he fell over he accidentally signed a 2 and half year contract with Raith Rovers.
