  1. Remember the days when Ross County, Hamilton Accies and Livingston were all in the top division at the same time. Ha ha ha. That must've annoyed so many people. Makes you realise how stupid the average Scottish football punter is, especially those who support the 'bigger clubs' - although outside of the auld scum Scottish football is full of mickey mouse outfits. Went off on a tangent there, but I reckon Ross County will win this very comfortably. Think it might be about 3 nil. Sums up our season nicely.
  2. That's the 64 thousand pound question. Aside from what is everyone actually trying to achieve with all this courtroom tit for tat, who is paying for it? If it's personal, or even related to Oppco 6 (is it a 95% share in LFC?), it should be the relevant shareholders of that operating company paying from their own pockets. Not cash in the clubs bank account, raised from ticket sales and sponsorship revenue. I've seen individual names and Oppco 6 Ltd in court documents, but never Livingston Football Club. Doesn't sit well with me, and these are the answers which should be made clear to the supporters.
  3. Hearts have had 2 relegations since they last won anything. Tinpot club supported by kid on currant buns.
  4. Apologies Lewis, I didn't realise it was your work. Ignore me - I'm just bitter about his knee slide. Good luck with the rest of your content.
  5. Didn't he run half the length of the pitch to knee slide in front of the Livi support when Motherwell nicked top 6 from us with the last kick of the game a couple years back? Very dodgy keeper in League 1 and was made to look decent by an unbelievable back 3 in 2018/19. Think I'll pass.
  6. The only ones precious about the pitch at Livi are fans of other clubs.
  7. I think there's a difference between entitlement, I.e. a demand that we play top division football/challenge for top 6 every year vs a bit of unrest as to how this season has gone. Doesn't matter what division you're in, if you're watching a manager scream at a group of professional footballers every week and notice some of the players throw the towel in, you're going to get a number of fans, coked up or not, getting a bit pissed in the stands and having a go. That's just part of professional football - it happens everywhere, at every level. By and large, our fans have been very accepting of relegation, which in the grand scheme of things is understandable. For to chairman to have a go at fans, considering what is going on within the club, I don't think that's fair. When he's had a few glasses of wine, he ought to stay off twitter.
  8. The abuse of stewards and broken seats isn't entitlement, it's young lads getting a little carried away and happens up and down the country every week (if you sit in Section A, take a look at the state of our South Stand, it's in need of thousands of £s worth of repair these days, not because of our own fanbase). That would still happen if we were in League 2, and I'd say since COVID there has been an increase in younger fans behaving like little prats, but we were all young once and I was a little c**t until my early 20s. What I would say is, everything considered, we still have some of the best behaved supporters in the top 2 divisions. A lot of away fans have gone beyond taking the piss at Almondvale, particularly just after COVID, and we all know about what happened on Sunday. People in the club need to be answering more questions about that if we want to start getting somewhat argumentative (which I can't be bothered to). The chairman actually has a brass neck with his comments 4 days after what just happened. I've never been embarrassed to tell people I support Livingston until now because of that. I'd be happy to take my kids to away matches, the odd fan here and there behaving like a pissed up prat is a big part of our footballing culture in this country. Our fans have a right to be critical following this season, I'm surprised they're not more critical.
  9. 'Entitlement' seems to be the word of the day on here. Just because John Ward used it (again) on Twitter last night whilst he was halfway down a bottle of Chateau de la Shite. We maybe have a handful of fans who are pretty pissed off and being vocal about it, but they're absolutely right to. We may very well break our own record for being the worst team in recent history. Boardroom level is beyond a joke. A group of players who've stopped playing for the manager. A manager who has got far more wrong than right this season. I think we have a right to be pissed you know. Aside from that, we're still some of the most mellowed and passive fans in the country. If the supporters are being called out for 'entitlement' (which we're absolutely not entitled, btw) and because some bloke called Martindale a c**t (talk about being thin skinned FFS), then we're as well to accept anything that happens in future. WHY is the club turning in big losses after posting profits (with virtually the same turnover figures)? WHY are there all these smoke and mirrors over legal battles and how is this being funded. Nobody knows exactly what's going on and the club is a complete shambles from top to bottom. Such a shame after the brilliant results we were seeing on the pitch and the stellar community work this club did less than 2 years ago. That's what we should be talking about - not a small group of blokes calling the manager a bawsack.
  10. You're just repeating what a lot of people were saying 20 years ago. Yet here we still are. Just embrace Livingston and you'll feel much better for it Vincent. It's a smashing community club with some great people behind the scenes, but unfortunately we're having a poor season (I think we'll turn it around next season). We've had lots of good games with Hearts in recent years, you should be able to enjoy them like I have.
  11. On the pitch it doesn't need to be as good as it has been for nearly two thirds of our days in Livingston. We could do with a little bit more boardroom stability than we've had over the past 12 months or so, but that will sort itself. Livingston will be a much bigger club in 20 years time, I'm absolutely certain of that.
  12. I wouldn't say so Vincent. We were getting 300 odd fans a week in the 1980s/early 90s (very similar to Edinburgh City these days). Increased our support by more than 1000% in less than 10 years. Still getting 5x what we got in the Meadowbank days. 11 seasons of top flight football in 22 years and a major trophy. The Livingston fanbase is getting younger all the time and is in better shape than 10 years ago. If we can consolidate ourselves as a decent Championship side, and I'm sure we can, as well as bringing back all of the stellar community work we've done as a football club - raising thousands of £s for people who lost their homes in a fire a couple of years ago, thousands of meals provided to those living below the poverty line during COVID lockdown, free tickets for schools in deprived local areas, helping to provide sports facilities to children in the local area, mental health support sessions etc etc - we'll be better supported than most Championship sides in 15 years. A lot of people my age are having kids, so this will be the time we'll see a new generation of diehard Livingston fans. If that's in the Championship, I'm more than happy as long as it's fully sustainable. On the 3 stands for the OF point, I'm certain most Livingston fans would rather go back to the Championship until the end of time if it means we don't need to endure that again. I agree with some of the Kilmarnock fans on here, it's not sustainable in the long-term and damages the profile of the club. I'd give all away sides the East Stand only. If that means we lose £300k a season and means we can't compete at this level as a result then fine. We could support ourselves in the Championship for years (and even get promoted to the top division as we did in 2018), I'd be happy to go back there.
  13. I don't know much about Neil Rankine, but you only ever really hear dodgy things so I've always been a bit sceptical about him without knowing the facts. You cannot deny he played a major part in saving LFC 15 years ago, everything other than that is very cloudy. The treble accounting story sounds very bad but we do not have the full details. Hogarth seemed like a decent bloke and has invested cash as well as sponsorships deals into the club - I was disappointed to learn he'd been removed from the board before Covid. Again, without knowing all the facts but after the contributions he has made to LFC I'd feel very uneasy about tarnishing his name too much. John Ward has clearly done good things for Livi including his sponsorship deals which go back nearly 15 years. I'm not sure how heavily involved in the club he is but its clear he wants to form his own 'board'. I am very sceptical about this Celtic fan from Greenock who wants in at Livi. I can only think of 1 reason as to why anyone would want to back Mortons Rolls when they're on the verge of going bust. At least Hogarth is a Livingston man, who's sat with the fans at away matches. Nobody really knows what the boardroom/shareholding infighting is all about and everything associated with it. I'm sure the full truth will come out one day, but I'd be very very hesitant to back one side here. Hogarth in particular, I wouldn't be jumping down his throat without all the inside facts. Trumpty Dumpty - can you tell us if the crime Ward is being accused of in the courts is directly connected to anyone else at LFC? Also, I keep hearing about upcoming court cases...I have not been following this thread too closely, when are these court cases and what are they to determine? Who is paying for them and where is the cash to fund them coming from? If they are being funded with cash taken directly from the LFC P&L then that is absolutely unforgiveable and the supporters ought to start getting pretty nasty.
  14. From what I've been told Ward is up in court for a traffic offence. Nothing to do with Livi.
  15. Why are Morton and Hamilton so disliked? They're both very low profile championship-level clubs. I couldn't think of many clubs less offensive than those 2.
