  1. Going back to the Stevenson and Hanlon conversation, Stevenson would be an upgrade on dick even at his age, at least he doesn’t get a nose bleed going past the halfway line and Hanlon could be the Berra signing a calm presence at the back and a leader by all accounts and it would help the likes of Corr and Hannah to learn off of… oh and throw in Chalmers I think he’s a good player but would he do what Murray wants and that’s working hard and doing the dirty side? (Not been on the thread since the rumours have came out)

Should be said, a lot of credit needs to be given to Allan Halliday side he came in. There's so much off the pitch stuff he's done that will fly under the radar.

100%, whenever the rovers weren’t playing or if we played midweek the r the night before use to go watch Dundonald bluebell and he was a pivotal part of the club im sure he was general manager for years, and with his experience with contracts and other footballing stuff he’s been a credit to us

Thought he provided some drive and urgency when he moved forward in to midfield in the second half.

If he thought brown was the worst player on the park he clearly didn’t watch Jack Hamilton 2nd goal the ball was there to be won he just doesn’t bother to jump and they run through us 🤷‍♂️

  4. Well wasn’t great from us but luckily for us that lot are rotten and 3 points and breaking the 1 goal wins is all that matters, if they had a striker other than that rotter Jakubiak they would’ve had a chance, he’s one of the worst “strikers” I’ve seen play against us for a long time…. They were hyping up that Matty Todd done a great disappearing act today nearly had to call a search party.

enough on them I thought we were slow, sluggish at time and backing off them for large parts but took the chances when presented, defensively solid today, Murray that was probably his best performance in a while, Brown comfortable so was the full backs, Big Kevs save in the 2nd half was world class made up for the howler last week, Stanton skelping them again good to see

Jeez, it’s like a wee school boys argument in here.

Fair chance of a draw being the result here. Pars performances have improved and we can’t see out games. Ashcroft and Keith Watson being missing have been our downfall recently…hopefully the latter makes it today.

Would be up for one of Murray’s random team selections / formations today. If it was me I’d go with both Hamilton and Rudden up top..that would be a nightmare for any CB pairing at this level.

Tbf I don’t see Watson being fit for the next 2 games with them being so close together especially with it being a groin injury

You could see the bond between Byrne and Rudden after the opener against United on Friday. Think it will be obvious now to say they’ll have more pulling power and most likely a stronger relationship with Ashcroft than McPake.

Millen as a free agent will be available? His contract is / has being binned.

Would hate to see us loan you Corr as he’s not had the opportunity he’s deserved. Masson on the other hand nearly guaranteed to be loaned out now.

You’ve had a diabolical time with injuries but there’s something really amiss with the Pars behind the scenes.

If Millen does get his contract terminated he can’t sign for anyone until the summer as it’s out of the transfer window period

Well I, and those of us with a Raith persuasion, are glad he did as they were ripping us a new one.

Hopefully we've learned from that and come away with the 3 points 😄

At least with Watson and Brown at least we won’t have defenders scared to put a foot in, just play big Jack at the back as well he loves a slide tackle

I imagine Byrne will be a doubt for this with concussion protocols after taking a whack in the face on Friday.  Scott Brown the obvious replacement.  I would expect a couple of other changes in attacking areas too but hopefully the same back 4.

Tbh I’d play both brown and Matthews in this one Ayr as we saw have pace and power and quite a physical side and we need 2 people who is up for the fight then Stanton in the 10 role, but that’s just my opinion though

  9. So Friday nights game was very good from our perspective a solid back 4 a RB who defends first and foremost was what we needed, Watson was immense at the back, Big Kev doing big Kev things.

Midfield I thought Shaun Byrne was fine once we got settled and the difference Sir Sam Stanton makes this team is remarkable to play almost 90 mins after a bad injury and didn’t look out of place, now the 2 wingers I thought Mullin Worked his nuts off and should’ve scored at least 1 of the chances, Callum smith didn’t do much going forward but done the defensive side well imo he’s a striker rather than a winger.

i questioned when the team was announced why Rudden was In there instead of Hamilton and that first 30 odd mins showed why, he scored and caused their 2 CHs problems, Vaughan I thought he was fine in that game.

overall it was a good team performance and one we desperately needed but now we have to follow it up away to Ayr next week.

Pars fans talking about bringing in Ashcroft in on loan from Dundee.

Wonder if we would still be interested if he is indeed available? Personally think he would be an excellent signing but feel we won't be bringing in any more plus we are covered at CB with Corr and Masson even if IM won't play them.

There’s been rumours of him going there for about the same time as our rumours tbf so nothing new, I still think we need a CH as I don’t trust Murray or Watson to stay fit for a long period of time and it’s clear Murray doesn’t trust Corr or Masson so I think that’s a must  in my opinion

Going to have a stab at a team for Friday:

                                 Kev

    J Brown   Watson    Murray    Dick

                  S Brown      Byrne

          Mullin       Stanton       Easton

                          Hamilton

This isn't necessarily what I'd pick but what I think Murray will go for.  This also assumes that Stanton is fit and that there's some truth to the Millen rumours.  It would be really harsh on Vaughan but he's always a great weapon to have on the bench (along with Rudden, Turner, Smith and Connolly).

If anything he might shift to the Left as I don’t see a world where he doesn’t play on Friday

Other than the DG situation, in all my years as a Rovers fan I have to shake my head in disbelief at this thread!!

Here we are giving yardage to a "mibbee aye, mibbee naw" rumour mill!!

No one but No one seems to have a handle on what has (if anything ) been said!!

    DOES ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE!!!!..??

Even if there is a potential “release” list remember the new regime has said they’ve been planning 2/3 windows ahead so it won’t be uncommon for a release list somewhat drafted this early and it may vary depending what league we will be in.

  13. If the rumours are true that players have found out getting released and getting offered no new deals, let’s take a look who’s Under contract and OOC

Under: Dabrowski, Murray, Brown, Stanton, Connolly, Vaughan, Smith, Mullin, Hamilton, Hannah.

OOC, Thomson, McNeil, Millen, Watson, Dick, Matthews, Corr, Ross, Easton, McGill, Arnott, Masson Then Byrne, Turner Rudden and Browns loans are done.

even if we keep 2/3 OOC players that’s still a big rebuild in the summer we need imo Minimum 3 Full backs, at least 2/3 CHs, 2/3 Central Midfielders, Maybe another winger/out and out No9 and obviously 2 GKs
