  1. Absolutely amazing that the game is on today, I gave it zero chance, credit to the ground staff. The rain has been relentless much of the week.
  2. So what would the ceiling be league wise for any B clubs prepared to start right at the bottom of the pyramid?
  3. Wonder if they will turn up on Saturday for the game when Blair isn’t there with his camera to make them famous for 5 seconds? My daughter knows a bunch of them from her year at school, so makes the kids 12-13 years old for the most part.
  4. Rather strange and unnecessary post. Is Jackass your burner account? I came on this thread as a football fan, if Cowdenbeath were mentioned it was only in the passing or for context. Then your resident idiot twin out of the blue brought up Cowdenbeath on the Clyde thread which was weird, but then he pops up on our thread with his pearls of wisdom quite a lot, so no surprise.
  5. You are somewhat obsessed with Cowdenbeath. It’s quite touching really, in a sort of creepy way.
  6. Any chance the Fife Cup gets concluded or is it dead in the water?
  7. Fair points, the b team stuff has been done to death, most fans don’t want them, but they have not been that much of a distraction this season, East Kilbride have taken all the limelight. I guess the Uni teams are there to an extent on merit, though maybe not Edinburgh for much longer. Stirling produce some right good players, and knocked out then league 2 Albion Rovers last season in the Scottish. Hard to argue against them bring there but neither team brings anything in terms of support, I would prefer a couple of better supported teams in their place. Some of the money being thrown about in the LL (not by my club) is certainly at ‘senior’ levels, maybe even giving Clyde salaries a run for their money.
  8. If you big time charlies in SPFL2 would not class the LL as seniors, what would you describe them as?
  9. Thanks, thought it was likely still the case. So, we need to get a crowd of 397 against Gretna to get a nice round average of 300 (I’ve got too much time on my hands today ). Not likely unfortunately.
  10. A fairly long winded and not that funny attempt at an April fool. Must try harder.
  11. What are the rules these days if a club cannot continue in the SPFL, therefore creating a spare place?
  12. To be fair, I don’t think the weekly wage can be anywhere near what would be paid to a player coming into a tier 4 club in ‘normal ‘ times, but these are not normal times for you guys, so can understand outlier numbers.
  13. Yeah, pretty sure it is, I just took the home league attendances from the programme and added the last two home games. Also, there are a few LL teams who have close rivals (Bo’ness / Linlithgow being the obvious ones) and they get a good crowd boost from that. Cowden don’t have that, if Kelty/Crossgates/Hill of Beath were in our league, there would be really good crowds for them I would expect.
  14. I do know what one of your players is on, and that low estimate of yours is definitely on the low side. . I would also be hugely surprised if any of the leavers were on as little as £150 per week.
  15. I was wondering what our average crowd is this season as they guy who does them isn’t that up to date, so I added them up and with one home game left the average league attendance has been 294 at Central Park. Does anyone know if we count season ticket holders that don’t attend, I’m sure previously we didn’t, not sure if changed? I think that is something to build on and not too bad considering there are still a bunch of clubs who have travelling fans in single digits.
  16. I don’t mind the young lads supporting their team and being a bit noisy if it’s organic, and they were/are genuinely supporters of the club. It’s the ‘rent an ultra’ bunch that get on my wick, usually turn out in greatest numbers when that YouTuber boy is bouncing about.
  17. Strange game to be at as a neutral, I thought that Falkirk might take their foot off the pedal after the Hamilton result, but I was way out there. I’ll almost always take the goalkeeper’s side when they get stick, as usual the other 10 players get away with little criticism, but I fail to see what Cammy could have done with almost all of them, first goal apart. The defending was comical at times, and players constantly giving the ball back to the opposition under little pressure, it’s what I have been watching at Cowdenbeath all season and does my head in. I’ve watched the goals back this morning, and backs up my opinion at the game, some terrible defending and slack passing in the midfield, but I’m sure the goalie will take most the flak, as usual. Apart from that, was able to spend a bit of time wandering around Montrose with the later start, really nice town, and your club looks to be well run and have strong foundations for the future.
  18. Montrose do a really good 32 pager for £2.50. Packed with content, not too many adverts at all, great effort. At least one good thing about The Mo today.
  19. Good stuff so far, keep it up chaps.
  20. Thanks both of you, parking should be fine if we leave decent time.
  21. Hi Montrose fans, coming up for the game on Saturday, we have tickets for the home end. For a segregated match like this, do home fans enter by the main stand, or is it via the turnstiles at the covered terracing end where the wee car park is? Also, any recommenced areas to park bearing in mind the big crowd?Don’t mind a 10/15 minute walk if it’s better parking a bit further away, not in any great rush after. Thanks all.
  22. Ah good stuff, great to hear from you again, we did wonder about your Lord Lucan like vanishing act. A good thread on the South forum started a few days ago about finances and such, a good read, I did wonder where that poster sprung up from.
  23. That’s because we are an intelligent and reasonable bunch, and can see the bigger picture, although naturally quite a few are disappointed Calum has gone. On the other hand, you are a gibbering moron incapable of any sensible opinions at all.
  24. I don’t know how Kevin was as a coach, but I thought he would contribute something as a player, sadly absolutely nothing. His most notable contribution was coming on as a sub against St Mirren, promptly getting sent off, and possibly costing us what would have been a well deserved draw.
