Thank you for that piece of info I had no idea. Doing the tour tomorrow so will probably learn more about it then. Good read there and a difficult situation. Can see why obviously the local government would love to host the World Cup but I just have to side with the traditional ground. Lim is a complete dick though and that was clear with the amount of ‘Lim Go Home’ flags and banners that were held up at the first goal. A lesson on owners for any football association that probably won’t be heeded.

València 1-2 Real Betis Second LaLiga game for me and a far better atmosphere than the Camp Nou last season. Valencia’s singing section behind the goals providing a lot of noise for the 90. As a self proclaimed Bético, I was very happy to see them win a crucial game in the race for Europe. Isco and Ayoze Pérez absolutely strolled the game against a young Valencia side who have punched above their weight this season. Couple of dubious decisions regarding a disallowed Betis goal and the Valencia penalty which I thought were harsh. The Mestalla is an unbelievable ground though and a blueprint for how a football stadium should be. Built right into tight city streets with very steep sides that are close to the pitch. 99B9A408-C82E-4D20-AF08-3AECB8BA1067.mp4

The Ultimate Super Ayr Thread

We are safe and have been imo for a good few weeks, and I say this from a naturally negative outlook. We may be utterly horrendous and completely unwatchable at times with a squad which is, on the whole, not fit for purpose, but there is always one or two teams pisher than us somehow and it’s the same again. The combination of results required for us to finish 9th is highly unlikely. -

If it’s not Murphy and Stanger then you’re wrong I’m afraid. The easiest POTY selections I’ve ever made. -

Worked fine in Chrome. Must have been Safari that was the problem. -

Anyone had any problems with the page after you enter card details for the renewals? Not loading for me and eventually times out every time. Don't want to burst into a fit of rage yet in case I’m being a fucking idiot. -

Sorry to hear that. It’s stuff like that that the fitba never fails with. Have admiration for anyone passing on the Ayr gene to their children and grandchildren. When my Ayr-supporting, Talbot-despising grandad passed away the week before the Talbot defeat, I took solace in the fact he never had to watch that. I’m sure if any of the playing staff read this thread (and I’m sure they will) they’ll smile at the fact they were part of that special result for you today. -

My SNP-hating, Unionist-voting dad celebrating Celtic goals like an Ayr goal says it all about how infested East Ayrshire is of the ****. -

imo that might be even worse than the penalty decision. Ignoring a head injury that’s right in front of you so that Rangers can finish their attack first is just dangerous. It’s really hard not to lean towards believing the conspiracies -

The main defence of him here seems to be that he can cover multiple positions in the back 4. Can someone with a better memory than me recall how many times he’s actually done this? The only time I can think of him playing at centre back this season was one of the top 3 worst Ayr games I’ve ever watched, at Cappielow in January. He can cover centre half about as well as I could cover an incapacitated Boeing 747 pilot. -

In a fully built, fully fit squad McAllister should be about 14th choice at covering centre back. -

We really have wasted money on some shocking footballers recently. -

Brought a smile to my face watching Syla taking photos and interacting with the weans when he was walking round after being subbed. Can tell he’s a player that’s never had the celebrity treatment before and he looked chuffed to bits that all these folk wanted a picture with him. -

Pendlebury’s 30 day loan must’ve commanded some size of fee then. -
Thought no one cared about this trophy though so why would it be a minter? Or is that just when their team gets put out.

Never been as disappointed in the P&B community as I am today. Hang your collective heads in shame. Anyone but Airdrie.
