The Diddyship League Title
VincentGuerin replied to johnnydun's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I can only assume next season's home strip will have two stars on the shirt to represent the Diddyships we've won on our Journey back after being callously and unfairly demoted in 2020. -

Nobody likes going to Livingston. There are shops in other places too. -

The Dees lads on here always seemed far too much like good guys for their wee pretendy pals act with the tramps to be anything other than a wind-up. Good on them. -

Pfffft. Utter nonsense. Livi are the bad guys here. I'd never put the boot into any other club of their size, as my extensive and thrilling body of work on this magnificent forum will attest. Livi are a special case. They are one of three clubs whose eventual liquidation will genuinely be a cause for celebration, and, hopefully for our game, for reflection on a shameful episode. f**k them. -

Got it on myself, and was just thinking the same. Adults talking about football. Not some fucking childish p***k desperately running between people trying to cause an argument. -

Ross County v Rangers

How utterly negligent and unprofessional it is of Rangers to get beat in a must-win game by a team with about a twenty-fifth of their budget. -
Off The Ball - Is it good?
VincentGuerin replied to Buddist Monk's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Aye. It's been discussed on here before, and some folk like guests who aren't keen on football. I don't get that at all though. Whenever I hear it, a guest who doesn't like football is a drag on the show as they naturally can't contribute as much or in as interesting a way as someone who is an actual fan. it slows the show massively when they don't get a joke or need to have something fairly basic explained to them. Or, worse, make some utterly inane comment about fitba, as people who aren't interested in it often do. It's a football (ish) show, and I think the guests should have at least an interest in it. -

Do we get clapped onto the pitch by whatever fucking shower of shite we play next? -
The good Lord, in his infintite wisdom, saw fit to bless the Italians with excellent cuisine, the Swiss with a handy banking system, the Austrians with stunning scenery. And he blessed the Hearts with the best derby rivals he could create.

I tend to travel to games in company, usually on the train, so haven't heard Sportsound too much this season as Hearts have played a lot more Saturdays than last season, but on the occasions I find myself on the train by myself now I tend to listen to the English coverage on 5 Live. This is despite having more or less no actual interest in the Premier League. They talk about football. They spread the attention around. They develop the stories and big games from down the divisions. They don't manufacture arguments that then dominate the show for weeks. They speak to each other like adults. It's just high-quality, professional sports broadcasting. Sportsound is a complete disgrace these days and BBC Scotland should be ashamed of what it has been allowed to become. -
Wonderful stuff here. Sums Hibs as a club up that when the news came through that they'd finished their own season by conceding a goal from nowhere in the 94th minute, it was met with only slight chuckles, knowing smiles, and shrugs of familiarity at a tale foretold. Of course they had. It's who they are. I love them dearly.

FTFY. I'll never apologise for being against franchise football and the theft of clubs. Fortunately, we won't be seeing them again any time soon. If ever. -

Hopefully the last time we see that daft wee pretendy fitba club at Tynecastle. Next. -
Keevins is a funny one. It's unclear to me why anyone would call in to speak to him. He's not a former player. He's not a former coach. He's famously been out the loop at Celtic since the 90s. He's never been in the loop at Rangers. He knows precisely zero about and has precisely zero interest in the other clubs. So, what exactly is he there for? He disnae ken fucking anything. I'm at a loss as to why anyone would seek his opinions on anything to do with fitba ahead of a guy down your local boozer. He literally knows nothing that we don't know and has no expertise to offer.

Chasing VAR out of Scotland
VincentGuerin replied to HibsFan's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
What Aberdeen say here is fair enough, just like Motherwell's statement. But what we need next is a club to make similar points in a week when they haven't been on the wrong end of a bad call. -
