  1. Basically the same situation as Saturday. A win would be just lovely, thanks, but a draw will do. Not much else to say about this one. St Johnstone away is just a bit dull. We seem to get sent there midweek constantly, which feels like a cruel and unusual punishment, but is actually a great excuse not to go. So, thanks, SPFL.
  2. So, we win as much as anyone else, we get to finals regularly, and we beat Hibs all the time. Glad we've cleared that up.
  3. Aye. As good as Hibs, and we beat them all the time. So, we win. We've made three cup finals in the last five years (twice beating Edinburgh's cuddly toy in the semi) and two of them lasted 120 minutes against the OF. We lost the other by a goal. It's not exactly catastrophic stuff.
  4. Depends what you mean by that. His last good season was six years ago. Since then he's had firefighting jobs. He did well at Huddersfield, but that was a proper back-to-the-wall scrap to stay up job. Middlsebrough was very shrug of the shoulders. He's basically retired twice in the last few years. Is he really right up for it? It's not exactly a nailed-on sure thing.
  5. We're at a trophy a decade in the last three decades, which is as good as anyone else in an era where the OF have hoovered everything up. Don't really see the fuss.
  6. Interesting that you see the comparison between us and Hibs and similar to that between us and the OF. But then, looking at the league table, fair enough.
  7. Oh, God willing, you'll be reading this again in many of the weeks ahead.
  8. Still. Previously, you had to be "thick enough to think" Aberdeen were in any way involved. Now, you yourself are counting them among the involved. You literally labelled them that above. Not sure who you're racing against with these definitive statements. There are still loads of things that can happen. A lot depends on Motherwell v County. A midweek with Motherwell, Dundee, Aberdeen, St Johnstone, and Hibs all winning would clear the picture up a great deal. But it's quite possible we still have a number of teams involved this week. All the teams involved are shite in their own way.
  9. Yet just a few days ago you had to be thick to think Aberdeen were involved. Life comes at you fast.
  10. The recent games with Dundee and Aberdeen have been the first run of games in ages where there have been spells where it's felt like we're likely to score at any time. In the home games it was the two second halves, but yesterday I felt we always looked likely to score. Less solid at the back, but we look more of a threat at the moment.
  11. Handball could and should be very simple. Did the player, in the opinion of the referee, deliberately handle the ball? If yes, direct free-kick or a penalty if in the box, and a yellow card, or a red if it prevented a goal or a clear opportunity. If no, get on with the fucking game.
  12. Well, you should have thought of that at the time. Also. Hearts Hibs Nothing left to discuss, your honour.
  13. Nonsense. They'll work collaboratively and innovatively, implementing the latest in blue-sky thinking techniques to help Aberdeen identify their core competencies and action optimal solutions going forward, bringing positive outcomes for the key stakeholders and leading to a sea change in culture. That's be half a million quid, please.
  14. It's not so much a lack of contingency planning for when the manager leaves as not doing enough preparation for a situation where the person in charge of the first team departs and they need someone different to fulfil that role.
  15. Johnson worked a miracle last season getting that gang into Europe. And they chased him away. Something to ponder in their upcoming lengthy stay in the Championship.
  16. Well, the rest of you can get fucked, quite frankly.
  17. It's coming at some point. Much like the Dundee game at the weekend, a draw would be no surprise. Also no real disaster.
  18. I feel everyone should be getting right behind Derek's brave lads on Tuesday. Three points for County could open the door to a great deal of hilarity.
  19. If Ross County win on Tuesday, Hibs are four points above 11th with their next four including Celtic at home, Aberdeen and Hearts away. It's not quite ON yet. But it could soon be very much ON.
  20. No. The rules do not state that it needs to be deliberate. Not sure what you're struggling with here. " it doesn’t need to be deliberate, that’s not in the rules. " is an entirely correct statement.
