Motherwell FC - A Thread For All Seasons
AdamMFC replied to Casagolda's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I'm really happy with the Halliday signing. He's got bags of experience, and as much as it's cliche, in the league, plus he could be invaluable to helping the younger guys like Miller. He has the fight and dig we've missed for so long and comes across as someone who is well liked but isn't afraid to say how things are. I could look back at this post come the end of May with regret but I think he'll do a good turn for us. -

Hopefully that's just precautionary and Mika won't be out long term. -

Am I right in saying that puts the bold Theo only 1 goal behind Mika now? -

It's the kind of tombola tactics that Grezza™ would be proud of. -

Can't believe he's actually going with Spittal at RWB again -

Agreed. I'd say he's one of the few who's got pass marks in recent games. -

Merry Christmas fellow 'Well fans. Hope you all have a great day -
Absolutely no fight in this team. Making it far too easy for them and we're scared to put a tackle in.

This game definitely going ahead then?

I'll be at the game but not looking forward to, even with their injury problems I think it'll unfortunately be a long afternoon for us with Kelly kicking things off with his usual mistake around 15 minutes. I'm starting to forget what Natalie Dormer looks like it's been that long since we've won. Regardless of the result Kettlewell won't get emptied. Aberdeen away is much more important so just hope we get through tomorrow with no more injuries.

Old firm defeat excuse tombola
AdamMFC replied to killieboyd's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
I've found this happening more often lately, you dare laugh at them and their fans are all in your mentions saying you support the other one. They really are that "it's all about me" meme come to life. Something else that gets on my tits is if you end up talking to someone, usually an English football fan, they'll ask "Celtic or Rangers" you tell them neither and who you support but they'll continue with "yeah but Celtic or Rangers". Just as a complete off topic sidenote; Great photo of Mox for your profile picture -

Opposition goalkeeper or the ball boys wasting time. It's too soon after a game in Europe. It's not so much of an excuse but something that annoys me, and tbf hasn't applied to us as we've not beat them for quite some time but their fans almost laughing at how much a late winner vs either of them is celebrated by giving it "why are you celebrating like you've just won the Champions League?". -

You've hit the nail on the head perfectly with that post and I agree, especially with that bit. Come out and let us know where we all stand, I may be wrong but I don't think it's too much to ask especially given all the uncertainty around the club. If they plan on giving him the January window then say so so we know where we all stand. Hell, if things are that tight financially and we really can't afford to sack him and hire someone new as well as bring in the players required to try and keep us up so we're sticking with him for the rest of the season as his contract will be up at the end of it then tell us, whether some like it or not, so we can all get on with backing the team and trying to stay in the league. As you and many others have said it's the uncertainty and lack of communication which is the most frustrating thing right now. -

I agree. He was never going to get the sack after the St Johnstone game when we scored ANOTHER late equaliser so I think he'll be here until at least Livi game. The only way I can see us emptying him before then is if we get absolutely pumped by Aberdeen. We all know we're not going to sack someone for losing to Rangers and as for this weekend I'm pretty sure that even if we lose on Saturday (which I think we will if I'm being honest) he'll stay in the job. If we do get rid of him after Livi then it doesn't leave the new manager, whenever we were to appoint him, much time to prepare for the January window and we'd likely be playing catch up on getting new players (again) but I don't think any of us would be that surprised given the state the entire club is in right now. -

I watched it mate. Mika could have been taken off at halftime after getting a sore one on his ankle but wanted to continue. Admits Kelly made a mistake and calls him "too honest". Calls St Johnstone St Mirren. -

Like everyone else I'm hoping Gent gets a start but part of me is fully expecting to see Spittal at LWB, Mugabi and Blaney as the CBs and SOD at RWB out of sheer reluctance/refusal from Kettlewell to start Gent.
