  1. I missed the first half as I was in Campbeltown with Carluke Rovers but managed to watch from when they scored the penalty in a pub, it was great watching it with the few Motherwell supporting players we have on the team and committee in a pub with a bunch of increasingly raging Rangers fans. For the criticism that the team and Kettlewell have deservedly got at times this season they were all brilliant to a man on Saturday. Especially Bair, for someone who many, myself included thought was a poor signing, he's absolutely proved us all wrong and I'm more than happy to take back what I said when we signed him. As for Spittal, we have to do whatever it takes to keep him, he's POTY for me. As someone said previously, even when we were going through that run of no wins he was still very good. Also on Kettlewell, I've always wanted him to do well and succeed with us even though for a good while I thought it was time up for him, especially after that defeat away to County so I'm happy he seems to have turned things around.

I didn't think Caseys tackle was a red when I saw it and still don't after seeing it back numerous times. When I saw the foul for the penalty I didn't think it was at the time but seeing it back and knowing it was for SODs part in it I can see why it was given. It shouldn't have taken so long to decide if it was or not though.

I rarely, if ever, listen to Clyde Super Scoreboard but had to on Monday night and was surprised to hear Halliday say he got a broken nose as I can't remember seeing anything that caused it. Does anyone know when it happened and who did it because he doesn't say who it was.

Saw a suggestion that it may have been a tight hamstring he was suffering. Either way, the only possible reason he can be on the bench after Sunday's showing has to be a niggle of some sort, surely?

Far from the most convincing of line ups, that's for sure.

Aye I'm not convinced by the lineup whatsoever. SOD playing gives me the fear.

  3. I can't really add much more to what most have said already. The only people that saw last night as a real upset were those who haven't watched us all season. Kelly should have been dropped a long time ago and he should never be captain. At one point in the 2nd half the ball went out for a throw and in the break before it was taken I noticed Halliday shouting and giving instructions/directions to (I think) Paton and I thought that's what I want from my captain, someone to take responsibility and give help or instructions to teammates and if necessary a bolloking if they get something really wrong. I'm not saying Halliday should be the next captain but it was one of the few moments of someone showing some leadership.

I'm scunnered about last night, I think very highly of the Scottish Cup and would love us to be able to have a real run in it but yet again for the 2nd year in a row we've been outplayed, out thought and outfought by a Championship side and it's just not near good enough. As I said to my Dad leaving the game last night, if in a years time we get drawn away in this round again and I say that could be a good away game please just remind of this and Kirkcaldy.

Did anyone notice some of the stuff Buyabu was doing with the ball at half time ?! If his ball skills relate to his footballing skill then he looks like one to watch out for as well.  Far more optimistic about the rest of the season now !

I was watching him for most of halftime and couldn't help but think that too and he definitely seems like a skillful player who likes a flick and a trick.

I'm a Coyne Stan - he's above everyone and I also can't look past Dougie either as he scored scored so many important goals (and got right up the OF whenever he felt like it)

Away from those 2, I would put Higdon, Moult and McDonald on the 2nd step and Sutton, KVV and maybe Porter on the 3rd.

I'm with you on that. He's just that level above everyone else and I'd have Dougie below him.

Coyne is probably the only person I'd actually be starstruck if I ever met him.

  6. What an absolute clusterfuck of a season. Get it in the sea.

I get that injuries can happen but I've not known anything like this season for them. Has there actually been a point in the season we've had all players available? Injuries like Mika, McGinn and Casey can be put down to bad luck but other than that you've got to wonder what we're doing in training to have them be such a regular occurrence. Too much focus on one part of training? Not enough recovery time between games and training? Who knows what it is but at this point it's a case of waiting to see who's next.

Is it play to a finish today or a possible replay?

Replays from the 4th round onwards were scrapped last season and I haven't seen anything saying they've brought them back so we'll play to a finish.
