  1. Think Jack Ross would be a good fit but I would have thought he'd have waited to see who Aberdeen take, if not him, and then see what gaps needed plugging. Certainly needs to be someone up for a fight.
  2. Neil McCann or Paul Hartley? I hear Billy Dodds would also throw his hat in the ring. Although I think this is the one Pressley has been waiting for...
  3. Surely the Top Top league would keep everyone in Scottish football happy and clear.
  4. Quickly becoming the badass Bob Servant of P&B. Loving it.
  5. Aye, makes this appointment decision one he can't afford to get wrong. Nobody mentioned thus far will guarantee that he will get it right.
  6. At least when he has played the unlikely to be fulfilled ambition card you have gone for someone slightly more likely than Steve McLaren. Still can't believe some Arabs fell for that one.
  7. Fair comment. Opposition fans will only see the football side though and I guess that Dons fans only really care about that too.
  8. This is the way forward and the only one that will change their predilection for bigotry. I would make it a concession of points earned in any game that such signing is heard. That way they'll be relegated too.
  9. That was mostly down to Aberdeen having an over-inflated perception of their own importance FTFY
  10. Not even the most blinkered sheepie can think Cormack is anything other than a disaster for Aberdeen. He replaces McInnes (who had probably run his course at Pittodrie) with Glass (who was at best an experiment, but always lesser than McInnes) and now looks to be seriously looking at Goodwin (who is clearly lesser than McInnes) and possibly Ross (who is probably less of a risk than Goodwin, but still lesser than McInnes). He's making a complete horlicks of it and it is a delight to watch. At least it takes the focus off our own management shambles for a bit.
  11. That's the way it should be. During the 90 minutes you've got to give it 100% against the opposition, but once the game is done you have to be able to shake hands (or hug) and get on with life.
  12. It seems incredible that he struggled so badly at Dunfermline given his form with us, but that probably reflects more on Dunfermline and Peter Grant than it does on Ross Graham The key to bringing the youngsters on is who they are playing alongside, definitely in defence. Suspect Butcher and Edwards are good enough to talk him through the game and that support will be the key difference (who was he alongside at Dunfermline?) The game at Parkheid with Butcher and two rookies in the back three for a good bit of game time speaks volumes for them all. If we can get McDonald having that influence on some of the young lads (and even Levitt and Harkes)in midfield things bode well. I am almost being positive...!
  13. Given the draw of the Old Firm is stronger the further west you go you have to salute folk who support their local team. Have always found the Motherwell fans in particular to be the antithesis of the fans of the Ugly Sisters. I like the people of North Lanarkshire generally - they call a spade a spade.
  14. Let me guess, Adam is coming out of retirement and is centre forward and captain. Another case of deja vu, with the best candidate under our noses all the time, despite having no comparable experience? Our Sporting Director reveals that at only 27 we have to expect to lose him to a Premier League team at the end of the Season. Gerrard and Vieira already fighting it out. Adam is quoted as saying he's flattered at the confidence his Dad the Sporting Director has in him.
  15. Ha ha - I bow to your superior knowledge of shit tv!! Could be - never watched it.
  16. You've not got it I'm afraid - you need to shorten not extend the word. Appreciato would have worked...
  17. it's just part of the Dundonian predilection for shortening words or taking the easiest route to pronouncing them. It's also why most probably think it is spelled hospotality. My other favourite is compo instead of compensation which quaintly refers to a character from Last of the Summer Wine or actually something totally different. mento...
  18. So we could either be 4th or 9th or anything in between on Wednesday night. My money is on 9th.
  19. Cheers for that and good to hear it worked for your Mrs. We've got friends whose son was born needing a liver transplant. He was really ill and was touch and go for many years. At 14 he's now playing in a Sunday League football team and is leading a normal life. Such a joy to see him on the pitch.
