  1. The whole Jim Thompson soap opera would be one of the reasons.
  2. Had Dobbie not fucked around and ate so many pies in the early part of his career then a few Scotland caps probably would've happened. Also being an attacking player during Leven's reign when his form and fitness probably deserved a chance didn't help either.
  3. First time I'd had a proper look around the QOS Arena yesterday. It's certainly an impressive facility. The prices for the cafe are astronomical though. £2.60 for a bacon roll? Ouch.
  4. Wow. I wish I could un watch that. He's certainly made a name for himself at championship level if he perhaps had an extra yard of pace he might of stuck it out in the Premiership. Now in his third spell at Blackpool. Yet has never actually signed for them!
  5. I notice the Boxing Day fixture against Livingston at Palmerston has been moved to Saturday the 21st of December. Which from a personal point of view is pretty shite as I now probably wont be able to attend. Can't really see the logic behind it. The fact it's last shopping weekend before Christmas and the day after black eye Friday will surely have detrimental affect on potential crowd numbers?
  6. Taking a whole week to decide is bordering on farce and not fair on either club.
  7. Higgins is insisting on more than the 1 year originally offered. Hopefully we give him it. I'd be surprised if Robinson resigned for us.
  8. Cheers. We are just being selfish and hoping to get a wave from magic during the lap of honour Really looking forward to the day out to be honest.I'm not so sure you will be fine in some places after 8-9 o'clock.
  9. You of course mean Brechin. The second one of those would be my goal of the season. An absolute thunder bolt right into the top bag. The keeper should have saved the first really. It certainly wasn't right in the corner.
  10. I've not seen Palmerston, but almost all of the weekends snow has melted already.
  11. I'd expect a fair amount of demand from Sat/Sun amateur leagues.
  12. For real ale definitely try the Tam O'Shanter on Queensberry Street, The Ship Inn on St.Michaels street, The Caven's Arms on Buccleuch St. and the New Bazzar on the Whitesands. The Bazzar is always full of Queens fans pre match as well. Saturday nights are always busy. For later on I'd recommend Broon's and the Queensberry both on English street if cask ale is essential. If not then Greens on St.Michael's street is also worth a visit as is the Hole I' The Wa on the High street . I wouldn't recommend any of the night clubs unless your very inebriated!
