Aye, it's only a relatively recent thing, first opening cermony before a CL final that i can remember was the 2015 final. Obviously there's been the opening cermonies before Euros and World cups which make sense.

As for the game itself, i was out with the better half and my mate and her husband, before the game when the second delay came on, i said 'What are you guys doing tomorrow?' geniunely thought it'd be played today! A truly awful final, Courtois had the game of his life however. Ancelotti is an incredible manager. 4 Champions League titles is a sensational record. I know football has changed and was different 11 years ago, but it was absolute madness that Chelsea sacked him. Especially as they went for VIllas-Boas afterwards.

Aye, they've stumbled big time, especially since the start of the year, they were there or thereabouts before Christmas.

Big result for Alaves earlier. Still in the relegation places but only 2 points between them and Majorca in 18th and 4 between Cadiz. Cadiz play Sociedad tomorrow, a win for Cadiz would see them go as high as 15th, but it's a huge ask given that Sociedad have been pretty good this season. Levante play Real Madrid at the Bernabeu tomorrow night, again another huge ask for Levante to go to the Bernabeu and get a result, however, Madrid will have one eye on the Champions League final, especially as they've wrapped up the league. Full card on Sunday. Lots to be decided at the bottom end.

Aye, Griezmann has struggled big time. There's more than meets the eye at Atleti just now, it's like they've fallen off a cliff since Liverpool beat them. I was listening to one of the podcasts recently and they said if there is any issues behind the scenes it'd only come to light if Simone left.
