  1. Well done Hearts. Guid luck against ’powk’…whoever he is
  2. Sounds like my Grandad's generation about 'longhairs' in the 60's... I don't get the general wasp opprobrium over Pride month etc...does Pride and it's attending nonsense actually bother anyone that much? Are the participants turning up at selected gammons front doors and demanding they 'become involved' (Gary Jeffries moment) If ye cannae be erkied wi' Pride, Jim...guess what? Go and dae something else, Min...
  3. Excellent article. Get this omni-shambles so far to f**k away from our game...
  4. 12 months ago I was sure Elgin would be the ones to go down, but their start of season form saved them in the long run. They even looked candidates for the Play Offs before Christmas. Having lost Hester I wonder if they aren't favourites again, having never really 'grown' in the League like Annan have. Maybe some Elgin fans would like to set me straight on that but they've done nothing really. Of course, next season there'll be the added ex-HL derby with Peterheid, but I wonder if other clubs of their ilk in the HL watch them and wonder if the SPFL really is the promised land?
  5. Well this is heating up nicely. Much better than the previous 5 pages of 'aw naw, shucks...you guys are gonnae win' pish
  6. Surely common sense will prevail. From all my reading on this though will it actually matter what the 'diddy' clubs/associations think or want? Have a horrible feeling we'll be landed with this shambles whether clubs and supporters want it or not...
  7. Am sitting here grinning away thinking of Michael Portillo hosting Sportsound now... 'I can't see reference to this 'old firm', or VAR in Bradshaw's Handbook, chaps...what's it all about then?' Can't see it being any worse, tbh...
  8. But...Thewtic are going to win the twebull and nothing else is happening...is there?
  9. ...that's the crux of it...the media will run with that as they are lap dogs to the big two, and that's all that matters. Then...'See the benefits having the Scum (I'm paraphrasing...I don't think they will use that accurate description) in the Conference...surely it would benefit Thcottish Ffffootbaw to have them higher up the Pyramid...' blah, blah,FUCKING blah...
  10. Other than being a Rangers player, and therefore untouchable, I really don't know what McGregor has over the officials in Scotland. He's literally going to have to bayonet some fucker before he actually gets a card...
  11. They don't care. f**k Sky and all who sail in them...wouldn't have it in ma flat if ye fuckin' paid me
  12. January was key. We punted the League's shittest defender and got in a couple of decent ones. Robson also changed shape going forward so Duk had more freedom, and hey presto. Don't disagree about the squads being very similar in quality.
  13. Well done Brechin...this Buckie supporter (of a seventies/early eighties vintage) will make the 47 bus journey along the road to cheer you on at Ainslie Pk next week. Although I must admit a part of me will be sad to see you go from the HFL if you make it...
  14. Buckie Thistle v Hearts 1954/55. Over 5K inside Viccy Pk for a Rnd 6 Scottish Cup game that Hearts won 6-0. Season before, Buckie had swept all before them in the Highlands, but a strong Hearts team including Willie Bauld et al were just too good for them... Big game tomorrow in the HFL...winner takes all...Buckie v Brechin
  15. 'Mon ae Jags...Mon the HFL. My first Season Ticket, Buckie Thistle 1974/75. Now long displaced, but they still hold a huge place in my heart... Unfortunately I'll be in the Kingdom this weekend, which is a bit gutting as I'm up there next weekend. Will see them against Spartans if they make it though But I'll be there to watch Brechin if they make it too...guid luck to both sides. Not a fucking thing about the game on the BBC Site, obviously. f**k them
  16. Aye just looked it up and it was Celtic Shop and it was 10 year ago. You know you're getting on a bit when your memories start to concertina that much...10 into 2
  17. ...last time I was in the City there was an Uglies shop in the Main St near the Eastgate, though. Naturally. Cannae mind which one, but no doubt the other ugly had their shop somewhere too. It was a couple of years ago so may be away now, but it really boils my piss...
  18. Dav just doesnae like the Buckie Jags very much for some reason... can't ever remember a Vale/Buckie rivalry being so much of a 'thing' back in my Viccy Park-going days tbh, although when I was a loon Keith were the team to beat in the HL...which kind of dates me a bit. Must admit I'd love to see Buckie win the thing but a bit of me would rather see a proper challenge in the Play Offs, which I kind of doubt Buckie will provide, given the folk on here saying they are still not keen on moving up...?!?
  19. Ramadani is the one that's totally changed for me. He always looked tasty with the ball but disinterested without it. He seems the opposite now. His shithousery at the start of the game on Saturday is just a million miles away from what he was about 6 months ago...
  20. Could see that result coming for Buckie on Saturday though, after the recent excellent run then the Midweek result at Brora. Rothes are a sticky team. Taken points off Buckie home and away I think, and run Brechin close too... Interesting League this year. Still can't bring myself to pay a prescription to the P&J for coverage though...
  21. I think they'd have settled for 4 from 6 from Brora away and Rothes at home as a midweek and Saturday, but after beating Brora those were definitely points dropped. Be interesting to see how Brechin pick up after their enforced lay-off though. Saw a couple of Brechin lads on here saying their form was wavering...maybe the weather has done them a favour after all if they can hit the ground running.
  22. Cheers Min... ...although that does make me feel rather ineffective and IT-illiterate
  23. Anyone know the dates of the HL v LL playoff this year? All I'm finding are last years dates... Whatever happens in HL, Spartans looking like favourites from LL now.
