I would say most SLFL grounds are comparable with SPFL 2 grounds.

Well beaten today, probably fortunate to lose by only 1, however our fight is not with these teams, and we should concentrate on taking points from “middle/bottom” placed teams.

The reserve league lacks a bit of credibility, teams like Livingston pay it lip service by signing players from tier 5 and below teams with the sole purpose of playing them on a Tuesday afternoon, as far as I am aware there is no danger of any of this team progressing. I assume they have to such a team as part of their license, or Premiership membership.

Not a lot in yesterday’s game, undone by 2 corners just before halftime, which was disappointing.

I believe teams don’t get the choice, they are designated by the leagues.

Agree with that, the real test will come win we hit a bit of adversity, and see their reaction. All in all though it’s a really good start against a fancied team.

I totally understand what you mean about the location, I think their main issue is that the teams round about them in Carlisle/Cumbria will probably pay better. I actually quite like going there. So I hope they get it together.

With all due respect to Gretna, their signings have been largely underwhelming, and reflect their appeal. It is of course worth saying that they have a limited pool to choose from given their location.

With the money they have they should have just taken over a club further up the pyramid, and circumnavigate the whole license thing.
