By the sounds of the complaints they did an open draw for the 1st round and filled in the bracket.
It's 16 teams they either could have done an open draw for each round. Then still made a graphic. Or they could have done the 1st and 2nd Rounds and done the semi-final draw another time.
They could have and might have done, I am sure someone who knows better may comment.

Every other football knockout tournament?
Get a grip on yourself
I can’t think of any other tournament where a coin toss takes place to determine who plays at home, maybe you can enlighten me.

I don’t think the league can win here, the clubs didn’t want an end of season tournament so they are trying to accommodate the clubs wishes.

Understand the draw process - happens in many sports knockout competitions.
But in football, venue is an issue, so why not have a coin toss once the 2 teams are sorted?
It's so fecking obvious - to everyone other than the morons who run this hopelessly piss poor league.
So the people who run the league are condemned despite this being the system in every other football knockout tournament?

No share in the gate money either I assume
I’m not being funny mate, but expecting any sort of gate away to us is wishful thinking, we don’t exactly have a massive support.

What have they decided about the abandoned game? Replay or result to stand?
Delighted to hear the chap at the centre of it is on the mend!
I would be majorly surprised if the result doesn’t stand, given it was 3-0 after 79mins.

I hope that the Strollers' coach who collapsed in the dugout late in tonight's game against Hearts B is ok.
The game was abandoned with around 5 mins left, although it had been stopped 10 minutes earlier, with Hearts 3-0 up.
At least the ambulance was coming into the car park as I left, so the response time of the emergency services was good. Hearts physios also were also providing assistance along with the first aid staff.

I understand the difficulties in selling 2, 3 or even 4 tickets to individual people and trying to guess what team they support given anyone with a Dumbarton address could feasibly be a Rangers supporter but the number of them gathered in large numbers last time made the home end a very unejoyable experience. The guys up next to us were being patronising and condescending fannies and it's not an experience I would pay for again.
They are “The people” you would do well to remember your place.

Thanks. And I'm guessing no other club will be achieving their license soon?
Licensing is still closed for new applications

Any more details / thoughts on the game PW?
Lot of huffing and puffing, although the same could have been said about Colts, although they did score a belter to make it 1-0 at half-time. Second half more of the same, Ross McNeil with probably the best chance (not sure what we will do when he chucks it), but apart from that we didn’t threaten to the extent whereby I thought we would score. Some nice football, but that doesn’t always win you games.

I believe it may be called jealousy, John.

One step forward, one step back at the moment. No complaints about the result, just need to believe in what the manager is trying to do.

Which is why the Meadow chap was clearly talking about next season.
I clearly misread it then.

Assuming no team is relegated from the Lowland League into the WoSFL.................
Virtually no chance of that this season.

Another momentum bulding win, albeit in a game we were probably expected to win. However, it was important to get back on the horse after the Albion Rovers game.

EK wanting fans to pay for a players operation
I wish the boy well, but I think the appeal on social media could have been worded a bit better. It is also close to Xmas, so maybe not a good time to ask for donations.

Absolutely abject stuff but hopefully McCall has learned quite a bit how bad this team is.
Will need to be quick, by time you get to the transfer window it could be too late

He was our manager years ago in league one, though. Have the requirements changed?
Millar to be in charge, Maitland as an “advisor”

Anyway for what it's worth- Allan Maitland is my guess.
He was on the touchline giving advice at the Musselburgh game, so maybe not the worst shout

Another case of nearly on Saturday, however unlike the EK game, I don’t think I left with the same feeling of being robbed. Still, the signs continue to be positive.

The reality is that it’s a cup nobody really wants to play in, but at the same time it’s probably the only chance of some of the mid/lower table clubs ever winning some silverware.
