  1. I agree @Van_damage but they can't be forced to sell them and it's within their gift to do what it is alleged is happening. Will watch with interest the reasoning and outcome.
  2. That's why I added notionally . There are shares but they're not available to the FSS.
  3. It's pretty clear where the club think the monies should be spent ...
  4. Looks like this was the announcement of the agreement: https://falkirksupporters.org/2023/05/31/formal-agreement-with-falkirk-football-club-to-assure-a-future-for-our-fans-voices/ Does read that it's a donation or purchase of shares. However, as there are notionally no more shares to buy then it's the former, if correct.
  5. One downside from today that the U1876 or Falkirk haven't sorted out a song for MacIver as he's clearly going to sclaff his way to top scorer. I'd suggest Whitney Houston: It's not right but it's okay
  6. Not to mention the corner that the ref/linesman clearly hadn't a clue about off Alfie's head.
  7. Really pleased Nesbitt got a goal. Keep that form up and he'll be worth earning another two years
  8. Bought online you can view it in the "My Members Card" section of the ticket site when logged in and the QR code will get you in if you screenshot it to your phone.
  9. We can't really ever know the though process at that time and can only guess at the reasoning but to say we shouldn't have signed X because 12-14 months later we might miss out on Y is through-the-looking glass stuff.
  10. Was this a renewal? When I renewed I expected I'd just keep using the one I had (same for the kids renewals) but new ones eventually arrived in the post to replace them.
  11. St. Johnstone accepting their fate before a ball has even been kicked it seems! Big Ernaldo Krasniqi in on trial . Can see what he might have offered us when we had him but I can't see him excelling two levels above.
  12. So who wouldn't you have signed or is jettisoning Nesbitt the only solution anyone's willing to present?
  13. I'm going to go two-for-two here and suggest that players signing extended deals isn't the negative it's made out to be. Unhappy, disinterested players don't tend to be wanted or stick around if they're not keen regardless of money on offer.
  14. Not many of the posters who criticise McGlynn have countenanced the possibility that had we waited for said RB, of the desired quality, we might have missed out on any of the players we did sign. We can rhyme off names and reasons why we don't have a recognised RB but taken at face value McGlynn said he chose quality over quantity. If said quality RB only becomes available this coming Saturday morning should we have overlooked everyone else and an entire pre-season to ensure we had the budget for them! Just a thought.
  15. Begrudgingly you can credit the old board for seeing some of these issues and bringing Jamie in. However, the rot had well and truly set in and fundamental change was necessary.
  16. I keep reading this but getting to the Championship is not going to alleviate this problem completely. This was called out in the recent update.
  17. @Barr Suspect there'll be a lot of finances and football questions so I'll go left-field - Overall fan engagement has improved; We can see that in board updates and quality of some services (Falkirk TV, Luke McGuire content, Bairns View) but what else does he or the club think can improve? Can he put more detail around the app Paddy Hainey has been working to launch and what benefits are intended to be for fans and club?
  18. I think Annan will be similar to Peterhead last Saturday. They have pace to counter and their midfielder Lussint is a threat. He's good with the ball and has decent height which could cause us problems. Stifling these breaks will be key and will require us to be much better with the ball than I've seen.
  19. One game at a time for me. Cove will be tough but Alloa away might be the best indicator as we'll know which results we need to better come kick-off. If we're already in a position of playing catch-up on someone - or simply keeping pace - then that is the earliest we'll see what fight we have in this group.
  20. ... but wouldn't be our problem after that as we'd only give him a one year deal
  21. Not even sure where to start with this! McGlynn having managed Mackie and rated him should know he wasn't better than a player he hadn't managed - at that stage - who had also spent the previous season sporadically sat on the bench under Sheerin, Rennie and Kenny Miller who all fancied a done Paul Dixon! Can we give McGlynn credit for getting McCann the competition to step up his game perhaps. It's never dull on here at least
  22. There's a "Bring a Friend" initiative if you purchased a season ticket for Saturday's game so he'd be able to get a ticket for nothing. I'd give the club a call to see if you can collect one from the club shop.
  23. It's at the bottom of the available ticket types if you choose the Annan game and the KM stand. If buying for the main stand it's presented as an option after choosing the seat.
