  1. York City - famously renamed their stadium KitKat crescent - and it was at that stage they ceased being a serious club! Such a shame.
  2. Don't forget Alex Harris too! York City is the football equivalent of the glue factory!
  3. Taken together the goals constituted the perfect hat-trick by our ... er ... one dimensional, one man team
  4. I was under the impression from some Bino's fans that they were some sort of promotion juggernaut . If that were a boxing match the ref would've stopped it as Stirling were on the ropes for long periods. Really good performance and not sure what Stirling can do at Forthbank to change the game - park another bus maybe
  5. Great performance and a brilliant finish by MacIver. Back four were superb. At one stage the KM was rocking and almost willing that 4th goal to come. Superb effort by the Ultras and you could feel it spread through the crowd. Same again Saturday at Alloa please.
  6. Depends on what Hamilton, QotS, Kelty and Stirling do ahead of our match really.
  7. Turnover SPFL on X suggesting that we made 49K for our participation in the Viaplay group stages with a TV game.
  8. My mistake - I took it you meant on matchdays.
  9. Is the fear that this would affect the contract they have with the outside catering firm who operate the existing pie stalls? Not sure of the licencing arrangements but something akin to rugby with the a tent and two-sided serving area would surely suffice? wouldn't have to be anything elaborate and could service fans in North or South stands. Picnic tables either side for the hardy in winter
  10. This is an important point. We can see we've all got different opinions on importance of performances vs. results and squad makeup and deficiencies. What I think this post highlights is maximising the use of the squad and getting the MA game time and having options off the bench who are already within the squad. Tense, cagey affairs are less likely to see us give opportunities to these younger lads. Hopefully we can get to a stage where we can give them a decent amount of game time and be sure we can rely on them.
  11. Indeed. Fed up hearing about exorbitant budgets when those that have seemingly had them have spent them far better than we have!
  12. Panned out pretty much as I expected. Keen to see us be clinical if chances come on Tuesday and really get the crowd behind them. Knowing what's necessary, If Stirling Albion frustrate or fluster us, I fear we're one mistake away from coming a cropper already. Also keen to see the mindset as it'll be the same next week and I'd like us to show we've got the right attitude.
  13. Well since you mention it ... and thanks for your input Will be interesting to see the results today. Hamilton look favourites to keep their winning start going but Edinburgh City will be keen to get off the mark, especially at home. Opportunity for QotS to leapfrog us in what I assume is a renewed derby for them against Annan. Alloa and Kelty also able to put pressure on us and Stirling with the outcome. Although we're not playing will definitely be keeping an eye on our division today.
  14. @Mr Grimsdale you need to watch it one more time. Yeats would make a very good netball player on the evidence.
  15. He's in an aerial challenge FFS - It's not like he's passed it along his box straight to an opposition player to score I'm not a fan of McKay by any means but not seeing the same energy for Yeats playing tennis - confirmed on the SPFL highlights - to concede the penalty. Players make mistakes.
  16. Folk don't dislike Miller as much as McKay so you can't blame him ...
  17. I'll be bold and blame him. He had the run on the attacker, lost his runner and let the ball go over him meaning McKay had to cover Lang's mistake and McKay then compounded it by getting the header wrong. I'll go further back and blame one of the midfield for not winning the 2nd ball which led to the hoof forward by Cove. McKay was just the last man in a calamity of errors.
  18. I expect some flak for this but can we put this into perspective. Brad McKay is now 2nd choice to a midfielder in a position that isn't his either and unlikely to play if the two that occupy his preferred position are fit at centre-back. We've known for a while - McGlynn does too based on my earlier statement - that he isn't first choice but he's playing out of necessity. It's ultimately not his fault that he's still required in this squad. I don't think it helps us or the player to constantly berate him or blame all our ills on his presence. There were 9 other outfield players on Saturday who could have performed much better and not put Brad McKay in the position that selling a goal then needed a last minute equaliser to spare us defeat.
