  1. ... And your team were a shambles ... And you lost ... Should have brought the tractor ... Oh well...
  2. I thought Yeats was terrific yesterday. He had a great tackle 1st half where he was totally committed and won the ball only for it to bounce off him and fall to the QotS player unluckily. He also had a lung bursting run which got us out and felt MacIver was slow to react to the offload.
  3. Limited ourselves tbh in that we persisted with lumping balls into the box instead of trying to turn Ambrose on the edge of theirs. Finally made a break through by going centrally and taking a gamble. Tough watch but don't care. QotS will feel they should've taken something from the game but they need to sack their fitness coach! Hope nothing too serious for McGuffie.
  4. More than likely retaining an interest until we stop dicking about in the lower leagues and get a foothold back in the Premier League. If their net worth is 60M then they can afford to play the long game.
  5. He's a liar! Clearly we're the "last chance saloon"
  6. Not sure it was necessarily a secret as it was published to the FSS website in May. Where I would agree with you is that this was agreed without input from the members as to what the options were and put to their membership that this was what they would advise the FSS cohort should agree to based on what has since transpired.
  7. Being honest, I do find it utterly bizarre that the FSS found itself in this position in the first place. As I write I am still seeing members asking JS online if the FSS is now FF/BfL in all but name! I paraphrase as I can't remember where I read that events had overtook the FSS and they achieved the main aim much quicker than expected, which is true, yet that shouldn't have stopped the committee from canvassing their members and understanding the demonstrably diverse views within and clarifying whether the agreement met those aims before it was agreed. Sadly, votes on legends and quizzes isn't engaging the membership - That's a pat on the head. To have no formulation of what happens next suggests there was - and still is - too much focus on bailing out the club and the messaging and perception is that rather than the being the fans voice it's the fans pocket. I'd really like to hear some concrete views emanating from the FSS yet appreciating they won't all be enacted but certainly tangible outcomes. That there is no discernible difference between the FF and FSS to the layman should concern the committee.
  8. Agree with all of that but parts I've highlighted, I feel, need something to underpin them. Knowing the "why" makes the how and what consequences of whatever is being pursued. Definitely an interesting one to ponder.
  9. What does the club/FSS actually require in terms of skills and what manifesto - beyond majority - do the FSS want to achieve? I'm not in the FSS (although aspire to) so apologise if this is widely known to the membership. I think having clear goals to articulate for the term and understanding what the club needs in the short/medium term off the park would be helpful to anyone considering standing. If it's known what priorities are from both sides it's surely easier to align the skills and commitment than an open ended, all encompassing remit. I can point to instances of where an FSS champion has said if you don't like X advocate for Y but when has that been canvassed and made an aim? Appreciate the rep has to act on their own and in best interest but they need some form of framework to work toward and they might not achieve it but at least try and advance a position which affects the FSS membership (and shows the benefit of being a member beyond funding a budget and to wider group).
  10. Just watched the highlights and Gary Oliver looks like he badly needs a goal. A more confident player takes that chance at the back post or at least makes much more of an attempt. Apart from that observation a fantastic result whatever way you look at it. Pleased to hear Nesbitt was getting praise again
  11. There is a disclaimer on the Falkirk TV site that there is no PPV as tonight is an away game
  12. No surprise to say I've always been a big fan of Nesbitt. Happy to take pelters for this statement but as the old adage goes: Form is temporary but class is permanent. Joint 3rd for assists and only one behind Spencer (who's 1st) without being a regular starter.
  13. What a shambles Edinburgh are on and off the park. First venture to Meadowbank and it really was as bad as had been described! ECFC offered very little and we should have been home-and-hosed by a bigger margin than the final result if not for their keeper and the woodwork. On the upside, we took the points and due to a card reader being down at the turnstile we got free entry into thee worst "stadium" in Scotland. Not to mention we're top of the league (and they're no)
  14. I'd suggested to van damage before when the initial FSS membership drive was on that promoting what the FSS at board level do and have done could have helped with membership. I still think that's the case amongst other things. I've gleaned from announcements via the club what reps like Doug Moodie or John Wright have done to their credit but for the ordinary fan the headline is funding the budget, which for some, they already do through ST, strips and hospitality. In those circumstances I agree with @Zbairn that the FSS just looks like FF.
  15. Not transfer news as such for us but I see there is a strong rumour Andy Irving - former loanee and lightweight - is about to sign for West Ham Utd! Footballs unpredictability is unsurpassed
  16. For once it's not a moan about us! Tried to buy tickets for Saturday online and I can't as I've had the temerity to have more than one child! Why do clubs make it difficult to take money from fans ECFC matchday guide indicates I can pay at the turnstile but a mild inconvenience. Hope we stuff them just for this reason alone.
  17. Much more effective as we've seen off the bench. Due to our numbers he'll be sub more often than not but had we had more depth a loan to get used to the rough-and-tumble of the top end of L2 might have been an option. Huge talent which just needs nurtured.
  18. Two-fingers up to the community and really took the biscuit Thanks for the setup
  19. York City - famously renamed their stadium KitKat crescent - and it was at that stage they ceased being a serious club! Such a shame.
  20. Don't forget Alex Harris too! York City is the football equivalent of the glue factory!
