  1. Kinda agree with the earlier posts about non Bairns attending games. I’ve a few friends that are die hard supporters of the club that travel from predominantly around the Aberdeen area who have settled after working most of their days offshore, and families/second generations that are dandie fans. However very proud to bring there siblings along to games where possible, although they obviously support the bairns when the leave the granite city.
I think it’s been covered but if it’s the arse cheeks that have decided to attend, we can only hope that their respective kids get the bug, the Ultras will play a big part, and what a difference with the young team at the games this season. The marketing team and admin have been outstanding, can I suggest two or three stalls with all/any merchandising outside the stadium, don’t miss a trick.

I don't think any of us are taking anything for granted. For me on Saturday I was the most nervous I can remember being at a game for many, many years.

Absolutely bang on. Theres no one taking anything for granted, and if truth be told, apart from the pissed in the hospitality, 4500 odd fans were waiting nervously on that final whistle.

Annan have been on a great run and we won’t get it easy next week. We will need to work hard and keep our shape. Happy to take a point tbh.

Wee sneaky chance of the playoffs still....last couple of games could be fun!

Play like Saturday and wouldn’t bet against you making the play offs. On a side note your player manager keeps you too static. In the second 45 if you’d played more direct you might have stolen the three points.

Fucking hope Tom Lang is OK for next season. Its testament to this team that you have to remind yourself how important he was in this thing. Feels like ages since he was taking bodies in the NB

This. Although Hendo & Mackie done well yesterday, can’t wait till Lang is back. His presence with Bruce Lee gives us a much needed “don’t fck with us”

How anyone can say that’s a harsh sending off is absolutely mental.

    Brutal challenge.

I’ve watched it a few times, gets worse . As said ref got this bang on, unfortunately the rest 90 was as poor as I’ve seen, especially considering this was from the top drawer brigade

  6. This season has been one of the best and up there with JJ / IM teams, I had the pleasure watching. Met a few players at a well known supporters bar last night, and the guys couldn’t have been nicer. The guys were on form and it’s easy to see they get on brilliantly. Like many it would be brilliant to see the season out unbeaten, for me I don’t want it to end.

(Defo need a CB signed for new season)

I'm usually one to defend refs but yesterday's ref is a Premiership ref and with no Premiership games on yesterday I thought he looked very arrogant as if he thought  refereeing League 1 football was beneath him. He also didn't look the most mobile!

Think you’ve nailed it, heard one or two saying the same, cocky little shite I’m sure I heard more than once.

  8. That’s probably the best any opposition have played at the TFS this season albeit made easier with the red. Ref got this spot on but delivered an astonishing bias for the ninety odd minutes, with nearly every decision going to KH. Nisbett once again with a mind blowing display of running, tackling, passing and shutting down opponents. When you’re down to ten it’s a difficult gig, and although lucky with the one that came off bar, thought we coped well. Every player has played their part, so I’m laying off McCann who just looked disjointed for some reason. Two games till season end and no doubt will be as difficult as yesterday.

I'd expect his agent is trying to see what's out there as they are always looking to make a few bob. We need to have offered him the same deal at least to that he was on but I would presume with us moving up and he having signed basically what would have been a pretty low value contract initially that the latest offer would be a step up in wages. If he'd been a free then I'd expect lots of interest from teams seeing him as worth a punt but obviously there would be a fee involved which will put suitors off even if it isn't anything major.

Agree. Difficult time for many players throughout football, many coming to the end of contract, many on deciding to extend, many looking for a new club, many looking at the dressing room and see most signed up etc. Haven’t a scubie about Yeats and like the weegie papers, the FH will spin on a coin be doubled headed. Hope we aren’t to far away from an extended deal, but the guy will know he’s had a brilliant season and he’s got interest from others, his agent will be key to what the next move is, let’s hope it’s another two years at the TFS.

  10. Feel for the big guy. Has been immense and can’t believe he didn’t get the slot. Many arguments for him missing out, just the kick for him to finish the season off with a couple of hat tricks…..

There will never be another season where ten players from one club takes the stage. Well done to everyone, as you’ve been bloody outstanding.

But Tait would be on loan, surely Hibs pay his salary and we contribute a percentage? Also not sure who is going to offer Ross any more than us, considering he’s obviously not wanted by Raith and he’s been used mostly as a squad player for us this season. Have you heard a club higher up the food chain as being quoted with an interest? I’d a have thought we would have a decent chance at getting both if we wanted them.

Sincerely hope we can sign them, gut feeling is that wages may be an issue. Hope I’m wrong

  12. It’s a pity that both Ross and Tait will probably be out of reach, as these guys are class. With Miller Morrison ripping the outsides, and the thought of Alfie and Ross coming on, we’ve got real pace and skill upfront.
Ross will want a starting slot, and with Miller bringing real class, it’s difficult to see if Ross would be happy as a squad player. Tait with Spencer and Nesbitt bring a formidable centre three and allows width either short or long. Let’s see what McGlynn can magic…

Only 277 tickets left for the Alloa game now

Still selling very well at almost 100 a day

The club are going to have to get a bit more creative with the segregation so we can have 5 sections of home support like vs Ross County and QotS in 2005
