  1. Only if Dundee beat Hibs the night before. Expect 11th place will be sealed before this one kicks off. Sadly, I doubt it will change how we approach it.
  2. On radio before the game yesterday, after reading out the Saints team the pundit mentioned that one of the Saints staff (don't know who) suggested our formation might quickly adapt to 5-5-0. I get that Celtic are good, but I find it absolutely frightening how pervasive this defend at all costs mentality has become. When the opposition defence know beforehand that they won't need to defend, it is little wonder that they can each rack up over 100 passes. I like Davidson and I imagine once he learns how to be more adaptable he will continue to do well in management, but he shouldn't learn to do this at St Johnstone next year - for his and our benefit. He has spent all the credit he had with the fans and with the squad too by the looks of it. This is whether we go down or stay up (I think we'll finish 11th and maybe stay up).
  3. " When a head injury is sustained or suspected, the team may either use one of their existing substitutes" directly from the SPFL Press Release | SPFL
  4. one was for a head injury change (new rule)
  5. Changed days, Perth St Johnstone quickly becoming the home team at Hampden.
  6. 100%. I'm just not sure a report by independent advisors commissioned by only 5 of the clubs that make up the SPFL (12%), who all happen to be in the top tier, will give an 'independent' verdict. I hope I'm proven wrong.
  7. If the intention is to generate revenue certainly one of the best ways would be to create more competition at the top of the uppermost league. A merger of the Edinburgh and Dundee clubs respectively would surely realise teams that could compete with Rangers and Celtic. I wonder if this will be suggested?
