  1. Mr Sherry does indeed have a long record of moaning letters to the Dunfy Press. I had the misfortune to travel to various Pars matches in the 80s on the same supporters' bus as Mr Sherry - and he was moaning way back then.
  2. Two goals in the first half hour? Brilliant! When did that last happen?
  3. Should have been at least 4 for Killie - and could well have been 6. Outstanding performance from the young Polish lad in goals. Another poor away day for the Pars. I can't see QoS catching us but I'm not confident that we can avoid the play-offs now. Saturday against Ayr is the crunch match.
  4. "Hughes fucked it by not making changes when they were badly needed" The same old story game after game . . . ! WTF is wrong with Hughes? It is so obvious to everyone watching . . . Does he just not see it? Or is he completely convinced that only his way is the best way? Last night the three points were there for the taking, if only he had made the changes after 70 minutes they might have done so!
  5. Stil regard the Rovers as a main rival. But for me the Falkirk games are the most intense. I started watching the Pars at a few matches in the 1978/79 season and the climax was the last game of the season vs Falkirk at EEP. Berwick Rangers had already claimed the top spot to guarantee promotion. The Pars needed at least a draw to secure second place and go up. Falkirk took the lead but the Pars were awarded a penalty late on in the game. Andy Rolland stepped up. I read an interview years later where he said he was certainly feeling the pressure, so much so that he felt if he missed he might as well walk off the pitch, leave the ground and never return! He lashed it home, Pars held on and at the final whistle there was bedlam. The crown that night was about 6000/6500 and many of them, including me, were straight on to the pitch. I have a memory of Pars player Paul Donelly running towards the terrace to celebrate, seeing the masses running towards him then turning and legging it back to the stairs to the dressing room - which were then under the main stand. What a night! And after that season Pars and Falkirk seemed to follow each other up and down the divisions quite a bit. The atmosphere was always poisonous . . .
  6. EEB seems to have a core of 10 or so regular contributors. Sadly many threads are destroyed by one poster who seems to get off on being an absolute roaster. There have been several new names on EEB in the last couple of weeks - mostly refugees from the shit storm that is daft.net.
