It seems that teams take goals of us early and then sit back to let us back into the game. It's not really us playing better after going behind but a change of tactics by our opponents that's helped us

Imo our problem in the last 2 games is that the stickers are off the boil. Scoring easily earlier in the campaign but have dried up a little. Too often our strikers get the ball with their backs to goal and need 3 or 4 touches before they're ready to turn or shoot, by then the defenders tackle them. They don't make a decent shot or lay off the ball to a better placed teammate.  They also have low anticipation of where the ball might break from or where a teammate will pass it too. Almost watching the ball at times than being ready to pounce on a chance. Frustrating watching them. Just shoot!

    As easy as that

If anyone didn't deserve to lose today, it was the Penicuik 'keeper. Some of his saves were excellent and the first half double save he made was unbelievable! But again, things just going our way when we need them and Errols clever flick just hit the right side of the post to go in!

A game where Broxburn should have been out of sight, but somehow just never got another.

Looks a pretty young side that Penicuik have just now, if they even just keep that squad together they'll naturally just be better still next season and beyond.

Still laughing at potentially the worst linesman decision ever when he totally missed a boy literally dribbling the ball out of play beside him and gave throw-in to him!

Keep reading about all the silky football being played by Broxburn certainly wasn’t evident today

They humped us last year 7-0 or something. However, it looks like two different teams this year with Talbot struggling and Broxburn going well (reverse of last year).

Will be an extremely difficult game but as you say an attractive one ☝️

St Andrews have already beaten them this season

Unless we stop losing goals at the rate we are then I think a middle of the pack league position is unlikely unfortunately.

accept the point about the turmoil but sadly the squad is well short - get what you pay for I suppose

Heres hoping for a bounce back against inverkiething next week

Massive game next week if we lose I reckon we will be in big trouble

What a difference a year makes! Broxburn all out of sorts in 22-23, but back to being a top side this season. After Whitburn's Cup final win, last week, Broxburn were on a hiding to nothing this week. Although it came to penalties, Broxburn's season continues to be impressive👍

At the agm it was explained where we are as a club this year. Wage bill needed to be trimmed and so we’ve signed players that were available and within our budget. This might mean the players we have this year aren’t necessarily at the same league challenging level we’ve been used to in recent years. Couple this with the fact that there are a couple of clubs fortunate enough to be paying super high wages so the players we might have wanted to keep or bring in were made considerably better offers elsewhere. I’d obviously prefer to be higher up the league and conceding less goals, but hopefully we can win enough games to stay out of trouble.

Do you see this as being a one year dip or have we to lower our expectations for longer

I’ll say the same again. We have signed players who can’t cope at this level.
I’m frustrated that most of the Cuikie support seem to just be taking this. We expected to get a result every match during the last couple o seasons and we made it known we were no happy when we didn’t but now it’s like we just happy to settle with “they tried” “it’ll be up and down”.
players not good enough, manager not good enough.

Agreed and if you have read the programme notes it sounds like we are not entitled to an opinion they say they know where we are going hopefully in a different direction that I believe we are

    Money talks.

The extended deal last season  protected us if he continued to develop and gave him security going forward.

No one let's a good young prospect leave for nothing, if QOTS want him, it should be expected by all that they pay to get him out his contract.

Surely your not suggesting that QOS are looking to sign him for nothing

I bumped into Carlos Lyon in Morrisons last night. He said Finlay was at training but he’s throwing the toys out of the pram because we wont let him leave. He said he told him to stop being a wee petulant fanny.

I can’t believe they are stopping a young lad who they got for nothing progressing his career by going full time

    Yeah me too.

They had a good Scottish Cup run so plenty cash, have access to the best facilities in Scotland and still the manager is bleating about not getting in the Viaplay.

And so he should they finished best of the rest another disgusting decision they just keep coming 🤮

Given the threat of a Conference League being imposed for next season was - allegedly - the only reason why some clubs voted for B teams inclusion in the LL for another season,  then I assume those clubs will want the decision reversed as they've been "had" ?

And the chances of that are no chance used that scenario as it suited their agenda

I liked Andy Stirling when he was with us, but I do think he's a good example of a player who looks better than he is (and I don't just mean because he's incredibly handsome, which he is tbf).

He'll have a few flashes in every game he plays where he gets you off your seat. But his overall impact on games was never as high as it seemed it should've been. He didn't score very often and his final ball was pretty erratic.

He's a talented guy. And we probably had him at his peak, but I'm not massively surprised that he's spending the latter section of his career this level. I think he'll be a good signing for EK mind you, but I always felt he was a bit overrated because of how the way he played made him catch the eye of oppositon fans.

These guys are in the Lowland League for a reason because this is there level

Not if it isn't revealed how they voted. Sealed lips. Unless its a show of hands. Which I doubt ?

Surely the best vote would be for a proposal to sack the 🤡🤡🤡 from the SFA and SPFL that are proposing this totally unfair proposal or is £££££ more important than integrity
