  1. First of all, I’m over the moon we’ve made the top six and delighted we’ve actually got something to play for and it feels like we can actually compete in it compared to the 14/15 season. Obviously it’s been well documented on how many points we’ve dropped from winning positions this season, especially late on in games. So we could have been level or a point clear of St Mirren or what not but then again, they’ve probably done the same at some point as well. I was too young to go to Perugia back in 2003 so seeing Dundee in Europe is one thing I want to tick off my list. Here’s hoping there’s one big final push in our remaining five games and we all get rewarded by going to some arse end country like Armenia or North Macedonia. Sets up for an exciting end to the season and after Wednesdays result and performance, we should have no fear against Celtic next Sunday.
  2. Pitch will be fine come Saturday. It’ll get heavy likely early on and cut up to f**k but that plays into our hands come the Wednesday. 6/6 points in the next 5 days.
  3. I know money talks but he’s landed himself lucky with a job right on his doorstep and gets to spend a lot more time with his family. More to life than money but then again the football world is a completely different world to us normal people live in.
  4. Excellent result and a bit of breathing space between us and 11th now. I echo the comments about the St Johnstone game, frustrating to know we could of been 3rd at this stage if we held on then. I love how solid we look at the back and although we have conceded 15, more than half have been against the old firm so it’s a great platform to build from. Set piece monsters as well and after listening to Robinsons post match interview, he knew we were a big threat and worked on it all week and still couldn’t stop it! Onwards and upwards.
  5. Yep weather has been brutal all day and last night. Roads are horrendous at present as well. That stamens doesn’t fill me with confidence and I’ll likely expect this game to be called off later on this afternoon.
  6. Charlie’s performances in the play offs in his first season were well worth the signing in itself. Two excellent passes in the semi and a goal in the final. Tremendous.
  7. Has Lewis even played a single minute yet? I would of expected him to at least made some sort of impact considering his background. Maybe just hard to break into the team on our v decent run at the moment.
  8. 12:41 from Dundee and into Aberdeen at 13:50. 22:28 from Aberdeen and back into a Dundee at 23:47. I know the return time may not suit everyone but gives you time for a few pints in Aberdeen after the game.
  9. Although at set times, I’m seeing a return train ticket at £26.53 from Dundee to Aberdeen.
  10. Papers saying we’re away to sign Marcel Lewis on loan from Burnley. Seems to be a winger.
  11. Off topic slightly but what’s happened to Charlie Reilly? This knock seems to be going on and on.
  12. Obviously Carson would be a very good signing but it’s just a strange move considering how well McCracken has looked so far. I don’t think Norwich would be too pleased with McCracken sitting on the bench and it was Stuart Taylor who recommended him to the Doc anyway so it’s just bizarre but if the management feel we need to improve there then so be it. Only logical reason behind all this is if Combe is away, Legzdins takes up the coaching role and Sharp is away out on loan with McCracken and Carson fighting it out for number one.
  13. As frustrating as it is to exit the cup already in the group stages (I think our first in a good few seasons), this is probably the one season where I’n not really fussed tbh. This season is all about consolidating ourselves again in the top flight and we could do without the midweek game(s) where we’ll likely pick up fatigue and injuries to key players. I echo the comments about the starting eleven, far too negative. We looked a greater threat second half once McCowan, Cameron and Bakayoko came on and we were unlucky not to score more than the one. Although the concern is we’re not taking our upteen chances every game but it is sort of the pre season phase so hopefully this irons out.
