Several Dundee fans coming in here to gloat despite there not being a single Motherwell fan on here , or in the real world, appearing to be even remotely annoyed we missed out on the top 6. I suppose when you’ve spent 15 of the last 20 seasons in the seaside leagues and 40+ in the shadow of your neighbours you’ll go over board about scraping a top half league finish!

I seen us win it in 1991 but I don’t reckon we’ll ever win a cup again, especially when we continually can’t get past the likes of Albion Rovers, Ayr, Raith, Morton, Inverness, and a whole host of peer level premiership teams. Of the 4 other major finals we’ve reached since 1991 we were unfortunate to meet either of the Old Firm and were soundly horsed in all of them.

I’m not even remotely bothered about top 6 and I think it was completely unrealistic to think that would happen this season. More it’s “2 steps forward, 1 step back” by losing a very winnable game at home and unless Davor and Gent were injured, absolutely ludicrous to not start them.

Shocker of a result today. Typical of Motherwell to win at Ibrox only to lose at home to a team who hadn’t won in the league for 5(?) games. Play offs very much still a possibility now.

This performance today might just be a blip! I think they play Dundee midweek and I don’t think Aberdeen have put in several good performances in a row this season so far so here’s hoping!

His goal v Aberdeen was a cracker. I’ve not watched it as much as I would’ve done if we hadn’t chucked away a 3 goal lead. I’ve been very critical of Bair, but he’s came onto a great game.

Terrible tackle on Davidson. I don’t remember that. I do however remember Davidson putting tackles in like that every time he played and being amazed he wasn’t sent off every time I seen him play so what goes round comes around I suppose.

Cast your minds back to 2010 when we should’ve had 2 league wins v them in the same season. Drew 0-0 at Fir Park when Jim O’Brien missed a penalty with 2 minutes to go but worse was to come later in the season when we were winning 1-0 through a Tom Hateley free kick and then Ross Forbes scored a tap in to make it 2-0 only for it inexplicably to be chopped off for offside. Replays showed there was about 3 Rangers players playing him on. It’s up there with one of the worst decisions I’ve ever seen. Rangers eventually equalised and it finished 1-1.

That as Hearts in the cup. An absolute classic game by the way. His T-shirt said something else when he scored v Rangers.
