  1. Bottom line - win next week v East Fife and Stranraer fail to win then we go into the final game v Elgin with matters in our own hands. Would have taken that on 10 February at 5.15pm when driving away from Stair Park. Though knowing us we will get beat next week and Stranraer will draw at Forfar to go into the final game 2 points behind them Then in final weekend will again get beat and Stranraer also get beat to finish up 10th, 2 points behind Stranraer, with a playoff game v EK.
  2. Remember budinaukis playing a blinder against us for partick in a midweek game we won 2-1. Carrots hit a beauty of a cross over and think big Mark McLaughlin headed a stormer to beat him with about 10 mins to go We signed Budinaukis the next season and was pleased we did but think he got injured early on and never really did anything for us Again if remember correctly he was in goal for Brechin when we beat them 6-1 the last game of the season where we nearly got promoted to premier league if we had only avoided defeat to ICT the week before
  3. Apologies But personally have better things to do with my time than keep up to date with who other teams appoint as manager as really doesn’t bother me Though would have been funny if it had been JD.
  4. Their board obviously felt they had nothing to lose by making the change and probably agree as I was more that sure we would catch them after watching them last week. Watching them last week I dont think they will pick up 4 points the rest of the season but that may now change. They are probably hoping they get the new manager bounce and win a game or two which is what they need to do. Sometimes it is just hearing a new voice and having someone come in and give other players a chance who were previously out of the picture that can make a difference. As you say, it may work but hopefully wont. Fingers crossed they have Jim Duffy on their radar of appointments. What an irony that would be if he was. Jim Duffy managing a team that ultimately consigned us to the play offs.
  5. Thats why probably got a B at English at school rather than an A like did for everything else.
  6. Would be interesting to know if the investment post January was just using the unused budget from the start or whether some other 3rd parties monies have been added. You say you would like to have an attacking midfield 3 including Leitch then dont even pick him. Anyway I always prefer 3 at the back and would go with the following - Kinnear - - Sula - Hamilton - Howie - -Cuddihy (if fit) - -McGinn - Ballantyne - - King - Rennie - Kabia - - Allan -
  7. Dont know where you get that statement from. The club has been in the doldrums for decades. Probably most of the time that I have been following them for 40+ years. With the exception of a few seasons (Early 80s with Pat Nevin and Danny Masterton, 1/2 season under Dazzling Dez Walker in 86/87??? were we seemed to score 5 every other week, Maitlands Juniors, Graham Roberts All Stars, couple of season under Kernaghan, L2 promotion v Annan) we have struggled towards the bottom of whatever league we have been in. Facing facts. We are a club without our own ground and an aging and dwindling hardcore support of maybe 400-500. There are plenty of other teams that could claim they are bigger than us. (a lot of them in leagues currently below us).
  8. If we can’t make up 3 points in 7 games on Bonnyrigg after watching them last week we frankly deserve to be relegated as they were hopeless and showed why they are currently in freefall If we don’t get any injuries/suspensions over the remaining 7 games fairly confident we will end ahead of at least one of Bonnyrigg or Stranraer (assuming that we of course beat Stranraer in our game against them)
  9. Again, genuine bad feeling at the game yesterday (similar to the game a few weeks ago at Stranraer) I was standing behind the the Bonnyrigg dugout and one of their guys wanted to meet up for a fight afterwards after I told him his team was going down after going 2-1 up.
  10. Yeah remember that night and your right it was absolutely pouring it down Thought it was 6-0 but take your word for it Hat tricks for both Carrigan and Hinds
  11. For everyone that stayed away after Tuesdays result and performance plz stay away the rest of the season you jinksies We played on the break and basically everything came off - through combination of great finishing, bit of luck (2nd goal any other game would have hit the post and bounced into goalies hands) and poor defending When Martin Rennie scores a screamer ( I was right behind it and knew it was in as soon as he hit it) you know it going to be your day Top performances from Allan and Sula (know he can be a bit of a bombscare at times but played really well today)
  12. Also agree with comments on Cameron. He is easily in my top 5 worst clyde player in 40 years
  13. Pretty much agree with that line up. But would switch dunachie for p grant (if he is free from suspension) and have young up front for scullion as we need to be on the front foot with two up front
  14. Firstly, thought the ref was very poor today. He handed out loads of bookings , to both sides, when there wasn’t any need As other have said. Don’t know why McGinn wasn’t brought on and King pushed 1 forward. Playing Cameron is akin to playing with 10 players. Don’t know what any of his Clyde managers see in him. He must be a star in training as he is absolutely woeful in game time and haven’t seen him offer anything in any game he has played. Surprising how different fans see things as thought we were holding onto things and playing too deep for large parts of the game However glad for the 3 points and the clean sheet (when did we last get one of them) Let’s get another 3 points on Tuesday and make things interesting
  15. You conveniently overlooked the most serious two points Clyde fans on 2 separate occasions being attacked Whats your comments on them? Personally doesn’t bother me what antics your players get up to. Just raising them as was part of an overall bad atmosphere today.
  16. Guessed it was this guy when you said one of the back room staff giving Churchillian signal to your fans Embarrassed by the guy and he should be relieved of his duties with immediate effect
  17. No, as said only four players (mainly Ray Grant being the leader) came over to the fans at end
  18. Basically was bad feeling all day They only opened one turnstile and both sets of fans had to go through which was asking for trouble 1. One old Clyde fan with stick got whacked in the face when he went in the ground 2. Stranraer players all (except the keeper) coming right up to the Clyde fans and goading them after scoring the first 3. The Stranraer players rounded on a couple of clyde players after late tackles 4. At final whistle Stranraer players fighting with Euan Cameron 5. At full time whistle Stranraer player jesting to Clyde fans that they were going down 6. Then the stramash outside the ground with opposite fans fighting, swinging golf clubs and get tasered All in all was just a bad taste in todays game that have seen the likes of before
  19. Yeah it true, guy in a big white van got golf club out and started swinging it at clyde fans clyde fan got whacked on the chest with it Unluckily for the guy swinging the golf club he got tasered by the police
  20. Yeah led by Ray Grant, Howie, Hamilton and bizarrely Euan Cameron came over to the support at the end of game Couldnt clearly hear what Ray Grant said but think was along the lines - it is our fault ie the players than we are in this position and that they are responsible for that Perhaps anyone else can clarify?
  21. It all kicked off Clyde fans getting attacked with golf clubs Stranraer fans getting tasered by police Know that we are frustrated and not helped by Stranraer players goading fans after first goal But it is only a game of footy
  22. At the end of the day we have to play Stranraer twice. Beat them in both and that it down to 2 points which I expect we would make up. Only slight problem is....................................we have to beat them in both games. Nothing less will do. Thought as a back up we also still have Elgin and Forfar to play twice. Again if beat either of them in both games and brings each of them back to within 3 points. Again if do that then think would make up 3 points on both of them. Suppose what I am saying is that we have to beat either Stranraer, Elgin and Forfar both home and away in the 2 games we have to play each of them. If you look at even up to EF who are 10 points ahead but we have a game in hand over them. Win the game in hand then thats then back to 7. We have eight games to play against Stranraer, Elgin, Forfar, East fife and Bonnyrigg. We really need to be looking to win 6 of these and we will be back in it. However caveat is that we havent won a game away from home since QotS in the first game of LAST season. Other point is that positions 2 to 4 are between 9 and 15 points ahead of Bonnyrigg in fifth, so how much will they be putting in games if play off position secure. We both play Stenny and Dumbarton in 4th and 3rd last games of the season. Stenny might have the league won by then and Dumbarton might be safe in playoff place. Yeah, know clutching at straws but it not all over yet.
  23. definitely in but with offside already given the defence and keeper didn’t make much of an effort to stop it
  24. He is playing with Glasgow United Had scored 19 goals at the end December. Top scorer in that league (think the next best was on 13)
