  1. March 1965, Scottish Cup quarter final Motherwell 1 Hearts 0 scorer Carlyle. My memories as a 4yr old (nearly 5) has the goal scored from a header, though happy to be corrected. Sat in the still newish Main Stand.
  2. It's official, we've left this thread behind. Bye all. Onwards and upwards.
  3. Saw a quote from Paul McGinn describing Blaney as being Van Dijkesque in the games against us. One box ticked, now for Messi.
  4. Don't normally bother with the bells etc. but this year the beers and snacks are lined up and perhaps a dram or three. What's the consensus 4 signings announced by 00:15 so we can all get to bed or staggered up to 2am? Assume all part of the match day squad on Monday.
  5. Dougie's first goal in this game is probably my all time favourite just for the simplicity, two passes, goal!!
  6. You've got to love this thread. Sometimes there's even footy content. ️
  7. Definitely jeiiy tot. How do you eat yours? I'm an eat round the jelly tot till that's all that's left kind of guy. The missus eats the tot first then the rest of the biscuit. Obviously we're totally unsuited for each other ......we manage. These were originally called German biscuits before WW1 led to a patriotic name change.
  8. A quick check on the forum and we've jumped ahead two pages since yesterday. Yes!! a signing or two or at least a pitch or Euro update. Nope, feckin' crisps and cereals binge, season can't start soon enough. At least I've got king prawn pakora for dinner.
  9. Saw his debut against Tranmere Rovers when he played most of it in goals. Also the testimonial when Joe and the rest of the team were absolutely roasted by West Brom.
  10. Or perhaps Lamie moves left to accommodate some norse God whose pitched up in ML1.
  11. Bad idea, he'd spend the rest of his career either boxed in or out of position.
