  1. You couldn’t blame him, could you? He’s better than what’s been starting in front of him. Lawal has been decent but he shouldn’t getting on the park before Roddy IMO
  2. If we release him at the end of the season without offering him a new deal, it will be a travesty. Some may argue he’s had too many injuries to warrant a new deal, I would argue we’ve invested far too much in what is clearly a very talented player to let him go now.
  3. I don’t think it’s fair to say his transfers have been poor. Far too many loans yes, but none of them have been totally hopeless. Sean McAllister - looked really promising until sadly injured. Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen - same as above. Remi Savage - granted he’s not been an improvement on what we had, however he is a good player. Cammy Kerr - Fantastic. Sign him up. Samson Lawal - looks a tidy wee player; made a positive impact. Alex Samuel - been very good for the most part, if he could add goals to his game he’d be unbelievable. James Carragher - same as Savage. Aribim Pepple - probably the worst of the lot to be fair, although he’s not had much of a chance. David Wotherspoon - we’d be relegated already without his contribution.
  4. The reason results have been so poor at home is we are incredibly easy to play against for sides who sit in. Leave no space for us to attack in behind and you will be hunky dory. Thankfully, I’m not sure this Rovers side can play that way. When we played here the last time, we were unfortunate not to take something - although I must say, you are by far the best footballing side I’ve seen this season. Coming off of our first consecutive wins of the season, we have every reason to be confident. Get Roddy MacGregor back in the team please Mr Ferguson, he may well be the difference maker we have been missing
  5. I have a really good feeling Caley Thistle will not lose this one. This season, that usually means only one thing. Caley 0-3 Rovers
  6. He may as well have not been playing on Saturday. A loyal Caley man to the end is Welshy.
  7. Well constructed this. I would add that the amount of injuries we’ve had (again) this season has hampered us massively. Real questions need to be asked why this is happening season after season? Totally agree that if he keeps us up, Ferguson deserves the opportunity to shape a squad in the summer. I do think that he can attract players, a La Terry Butcher during his time here. I’m also not averse to us continuing to use the loan market, although maybe not to the level of reliance we have this season
  8. He got the team selection and his tactics right today. Fair play to him
  9. Caley comfortably the better side in that first half. Long way to go though. Having Kerr back at right back has made a huge difference, much better balance to the team. Really like Doran and Longstaff in those wide centre midfield positions too. Really hope we see Roddy MacGregor at some point
  10. The lack of a Wotherspoon replacement is what has killed us. Sean McAllister was supposed to be that. He could simply play Roddy MacGregor which is incredibly frustrating
  11. He seems like quite a likeable bloke. His style of play was never going to suit Duncball, where we never actually put the ball into the box, so it’s not all his fault he was so bad for us. Which just makes me want to boo him more
  12. I’m contemplating pulling a sickie from work to come to this, purely to boo f**k out of Cillian Sheridan.
  13. I would echo what has been said above - we deserved the win today, however Arbroath are a very poor side. We lacked the quality to put the game to bed in the first half. I thought his refusal to change from the back five against a side offering little to no threat was going to cost us, especially when they went down to ten men. I can’t help but think we won in spite of the tactics today, not because of them. Alex Samuel was fantastic and his goal was top drawer. He’s got me contemplating pulling a sickie next weekend
  14. We are winning in spite of the set up here. No offence Arbroath fans, but you are terrible. Playing three centre halves is criminal when you should be looking to dominate the game and create chances. Shite 1-0 Jobby at half time
  15. An alternative to this: Big Dunc and Scot Gardiner are sacked tonight. The club tell nobody. There are murmurs around the stadium tomorrow, the manager is nowhere to be seen during the pre match warm up. At 2:55pm smoke emerges from the tunnel. Bah gawd that’s Yogi Hughes’ music! Yogi leads the team onto the park, there are shroo balls and good laddies everywhere, Caley win our final 5 games with 90% possession in each. Billy Mckay actually touches the ball in the opponents half again. Balance is restored to the cinch
  16. Disappointed with this actually. He might’ve actually had to play Roddy MacGregor is Kerr was out
  17. By hostile, I mean fans politely grumbling at every back pass. A notch up from the usual sweetie rustling
  18. I can see us really struggling this weekend. Arbroath will sit in and we won’t be able to break them down. The fans have already turned, the atmosphere is going to be hostile and sadly not for the away team. We have a group of players who have already shown they cannot win at home, and that was before we reached the end of our tether. But hey, at least Scot Gardiner will get to spend another day with one of his heroes in the dugout
  19. If this is true, Ferguson deserves his jotters. Roddy is proven at this level and may be able to provide that wee bit of spark we have been missing.
  20. Shaw won’t be a loss based on his form this season. A brilliant player on his day, just hasn’t had enough days for us when we’ve needed him most. A real shame, he was fantastic for a spell last season
  21. Granted he didn’t get much of a chance and he definitely didn’t suit our “style of play” - however, Cillian Sheridan is one of the worst players I’ve seen in an ICT shirt. He was absolutely shocking. It astounds me he is going so well at Queens
  22. A spectacular foul just before it too
  23. He has, and he has been magnificent.
