Think we definitely need to look at somebody in there. Midfield is very lightweight. Can you imagine how easily the teams in Europe will cut through that? I don't think we can rely on Shinnie's energy either. There are a few decent defensive midfielders available on a free going by TransferMarkt. Hopefully we can get somebody tied up and get them up to speed during the international break.

100%. I do think we'll sign 1 or 2 but can't see them being of any real quality unfortunately. Hope to be proved wrong and I'd really like us to get Baccus. Someone said elsewhere that we've got a player that's agreed to come in but the selling club are waiting to confirm their replacement before letting him go. Take note Aberdeen!!

I personally feel that if we stick with the 3 at the back it'll be Robson's death knell at AFC. He won't survive playing that. Robson deserves a lot of credit for getting us 3rd last season but let's not forget that performances in the main weren't great. Rangers and Hearts at home the exceptions. We were lucky to win a lot of those games. And then there was the Hearts debacle. I'd love to see Robson turn it around but 2 wins in the last 11 games isn't great. I've got big doubts. He's a student of McInnes. It's obviously where the stubbornness has come from .

The sooner this back 3 experiment is binned the fucking better. f**k knows who we'll sign today but it has to be, for me, minimum 2 players who walk into our starting lineup. 1 being a defensive midfielder and I'd actually be looking at bringing in another defender because our centre backs are all slow as f**k. And to top it off...Williams is the slowest of them all so no point hoping he'll inject some pace.

And Ramadani would have been on more money at AFC than Baccus is on I'd wager.

He absolutely does walk into our midfield. We are losing out on Clarkson doing what he does because he's having to do the dirty work which isn't his game. A good box to box midfielder improves our team no end. I'd have loved us to go for Strain and called for us to try and sign him when we sold McCrorie but after bringing in Devlin and Dadia we won't be trying to sign him now.

That's the type of player we are missing though. We've got Clarkson to do all the creating etc. Just need somebody that can put themselves about a bit. We haven't replaced Ramadani and I personally think Baccus is an upgrade on Ramadani. I think we'll have to go to around the £500k-£600k mark though to get him.

Campbell might not be happening but there seems to be a good chance that Baccus is.

45 games u the Championship last season. However with Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and WBA all apparently after him and on a permanent rather than the loan we'd want then it's hard to imagine in what situation he pitches up here.

There's definitely something off with the Williams situation. I've seen rumours of his attitude being an issue. If that is the case I'm surprised we haven't binned him already. We must be able to cancel it if we have concerns regarding that. Even if we did, I can't see Pollock becoming available. Is he not their only backup centre half? I'd be happy if we can get 2 midfielders in. I just don't see it. I don't think Robson/Cormack will want to write off Polvara.

Whats the script with Williams? Seems strange that he played 90 mins for a B side a couple of weeks ago but hasn't been since in any match day squads? I think if we were to bring in a centre back we'd have to ship out Stewart and probably Milne on loan aswell.

We need one midfielder. Can't think of what position the 2nd potential player might be. Unless we have plans to move out Polvara and Barron and get 2 midfielders but can't see Barron leaving due to Uefa squad numbers. Maybe a utility player that can cover numerous positions?

I don't think McGrath will start. Not even sure Jensen will start. Robson said in his pre match presser that he has to gradually build up their game time. McGrath because he's missed a full pre season and Jensen because he'll only have had 1 or 2 sessions with his new teammates. Think both will come on and play at least half an hour. Just don't think Robson will start either.

Is there PPV? Since I was too slow off the mark for a ticket for me and the old man then PPV might be the next best option.

I don't think we are. i think we are planning to sell him in Jan and we see the opportunity to bring in Gueye in now so that he is acclimatised to the league, club and his teammates ready to hit the ground running when we do sell Duk. The club know they can't afford to lose Duk right now.

I see the striker Hibs were linked with today follows us on Instagram. I know it doesn't mean anything but with f**k all else to speculate about it at least gives us something of a rumour

I think the loan market comment is aimed at preparing us for Scales just joining on loan again. I've heard 2 names regarding midfielders. Mark Zabukovnik who I think was name dropped aswell on an RTG podcast. 12 goals and 4 assists isn't bad for a defensive midfielder. The other one is Jani Atanasov. Think this one is a bit more wishful thinking considering he's played for Bursaspor and Hadjuk Split in recent seasons. Now in top flight in Poland. He's an international teammate of Bojan.

I think Clarkson was always destined to have a poor game when the ball was lumped over him constantly. Could see in the 2nd half when he was defending corners he wasn't best pleased. He was right in front of me. Duk certainly looks like he's carrying extra timber. Needs to shift that pronto.

I thought he was poor yesterday aswell. He's all pace. That's all he brings. There's no end product. But that could also be aimed at every Aberdeen player yesterday. Can't get over the amount of times we hit the first man at set pieces or with crosses. I really hope Robson gets the backing he needs for this squad because we are so short of quality in certain areas. I'm not a fan of how he rigidly sticks to this back 3. Everyone could see at HT yesterday it wasn't working. Everyone around me was saying we had to get Sokler on, get the ball down and go after them. Use Duk and Soklers pace and get their defenders facing their own goal. Instead, the plan seemed to be to launch even more high balls up. Its a bit worrying. But we're a point better off than we were this time last season I suppose

Morris, Hayes, MacKenzie shouldn't be anywhere near the pitch now. Polvara wasn't terrible and he has something about him but I feel its a stretch to say he'll be Rama's replacement. Robson was indicating post match he had the quality to replace Rama and the potential to be even better. That rang alarm bells with me tbh.

I know they agreed £275k with Bolton. Doesn't mean they'd agree that with us. Imagine if we agreed a fee for one of our players with a club outwith our league then the b*****d Garden come calling.
