  1. Trial by media isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
  2. And a mac OS Mac OS is very good for general every day use.
  3. It is a fact that he is innocent. “Innocent” is a legal definition. as to whether the accusations against him are true, I don’t know. That is for a court to determine.
  4. Unless you are a PC/Laptop gamer, why wouldn’t you buy a MacBook Air? They are far superior machines and far better value than any mid range Windows laptop. They now have 18 hours of charge, exceptional retina displays, Touch ID and they have the M1 chip in which is greased lightning. Their SSDs are phenomenal and they wake instantly, every time.
  5. It’s not aimed at people like me. I don’t use pejorative gendered language. I simply don’t care very much if others do. I have no interest in policing the words of others.
  6. You have the monopoly on wisdom when it comes to the use of language within the human societal construct? I see. What are your credentials?
  7. The best value for money is a MacBook. I’m using my early 2014 MacBook right now and it’s almost as good as it was the day I opened the box. I don’t get the full 12 hours of battery anymore but apart form that it’s perfect. I would have been through 3 or 4 Windows laptops in that time. The current MacBook Air is an unbelievably machine that will easily last 10 years. You can get them in interest free credit at Apple. £41 per month for 2 years.
  8. People who refer to the sea in this way need to develop new patter urgently.
  9. The pejorative normally thrown at men is around the trope of “ego” or penis size, or if a man is short he is accused of having “small man syndrome”. again, I couldn’t care less. Those who torture themselves on these linguistic semantics and seek to ascribe additional negative significance to everything people say need to get better hobbies.
  10. I have never heard anyone other than Nicola Sturgeon be referred to as a nippy sweetie. Couldn’t care less if there is a gender element to it or not.
  11. Dunno. I’m only really interested though in what a court finds.
  12. Conviction overturned. An innocent man.
  13. This can be the Gilmour at Norwich thread. I canny stand messageboard gatekeeping.
  14. Using work expenses is just an admin ballache. Whether it’s claiming back or using a company card. The lengths I’ve seen people go to just to avoid paying for a pint themselves is ridiculous. Absolute miser stuff.
  15. Can’t agree. It’s a classic. It inspire The Office. Ricky even gives Pete Gibbons a mention.
  16. My Mrs is front Sandwick. We tend to go all over the place when we are up. Great pics!
  17. I’m a lifelong independence supporter and was a member of the SNP until this year, going back to 2006. The SNP have done a lot of indefensible things under Sturgeon and the fraudulent use of donated funds is only one of them. The party leadership is corrupt at its very core and I see no prospect of independence or even a referendum under the current leadership. I will be very glad to see the day when Sturgeon and Murrell are out and I hope I can return to the party.
  18. Arran is just a magnificent place. Where I live I can be at the Ardrossan Ferry in 25 minutes. For family reasons we go to Lewis a lot. Have also visited Skye and Harris. if anyone wants any info re Lewis just say.
  19. Service is generally bad in the Highlands and much of rural Scotland. It’s a weird mentality.
  20. Had to settle for these in the end. Annoying.
  21. There are far too many cooking shows on TV and especially BBC1. Utterly dire and boring. The fetishisation of food combined with lifestyle projection is utterly vapid.
  22. Guy was about twice my size and a proper fruit loop. The two occasions he assaulted me I got off with cuts and bruises but didn’t fight back as pretty sure that is what he wanted. He lifted me up off the ground one of the times and tried to throw me over a barbed wire fence. He failed as I am maybe heavier than he expected. Another time he picked up a blue wheelie bin a d launched it at me. I was scared because he was a cop but the local cops knew he was a madman and in the end were delighted to do him when they had enough.
  23. No, no. Don’t feel any sympathy or responsibility to responding robustly to the behaviour of someone like this. if he says your child should be leathered and has a heart attack off the back of the response to that then it is his responsibility. these people seek to take advantage of the inherent decency in others. It is a tactic they use. Any emotion he exhibits now is not to be trusted.
