Last update was that we are continuing to look in the east end of Glasgow with some positive news in the summer before the start of next season. Since then our chairman has announced he is leaving in the summer weeks after getting re elected at the AGM, so I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one. The issues with the stadium is just one of many at the club and why we have been circling the drain. We put a lot of resource into the Crownpoint bid and we came up short, that resource was maybe better spent elsewhere. Hopefully with a chairman who is competent and not a complete wet blanket we can get our act together including a stadium of our own.

Appreciate your point and I agree. I called out Scullion in my post previous to the post you quoted. He’s acted poorly and there’s no doubting that, however the difference between him and the fan is that you can almost understand his actions in the heat of the moment as an act of retaliation despite still being wrong. The same can’t be said of the Bonnyrigg fan, he’s acted like a cretin and escalated the situation. Which is why it’s weird people are trying to make this Scullions fault

The fan that spat on him caused the issue. If he hadn’t of done that and took his medicine after giving it tight to scullion during the game nothing would have happened . Unless you are saying what Scullion done means he deserves to be spat on by a fan, in which case I ask you what level of abuse or what would have to be said by a player to a fan to warrant being spat on by an opposing fan? We have all shouted stuff sure, but expecting players not to react to any abuse is how these problems exist. There are some football fans that expect to be able to shout abuse and never have any consequences, they then go back and feel like a hard nut and tell there pals about it all in the pub it’s embarrassing. It’s something I have experienced working in retail years ago where folk would just give cheek, be rude and abusive and expect to get away with it because I’m at my work, it’s how these cretins exist and keep doing it. Clyde fans are also absolutely chronic for this behaviour at times also btw. Spitting on someone is absolutely manky, degrading and potentially dangerous considering what diseases can be passed by doing it. This is why laws exist that classify this as assault. The fact I have to yet again explain all this on a football forum with adults is utterly embarrassing Also btw the behaviour you point out about Clyde fans in Forfar was rightfully called out on here as them being morons and sore losers, yet in this situation you have made it the players fault for some reason

No offence but this post is absolutely everything that’s honking in the discourse. Some wee Fanny has been giving it tight to him all game and when he gets a bit back he’s chosen to spit at the player. It’s utter cretin behaviour and saying Scullion doesn’t need to be there is trying to shift the blame onto him for someone spitting at him. The only way this argument works is if you somehow think that what Scullion has done deserves him being spat on, everything else is just a distraction from the bigger issue of fans thinking they can abuse and shout at players with no repercussions. Clyde fans being arguably one of the worst for that I’ll admit. A few weeks ago folk were having a go at Clyde fans going mental for players celebrating in front of them and that was rightly called out as daft wee boy behaviour from the Clyde fans. This week an opposition fan spits on a Clyde player and it’s somehow the Clyde players fault Scullion retaliating is poor behaviour from him but somewhat understandable given the circumstances. The fans behaviour is odious and not understandable at all

I’d argue it actually does matter for a team like us and of our size.How we are viewed in the Scottish Football community and society as a whole will effect sponsorship and commercial opportunities and will also impact on recruitment on the park also.

The first steps in survival go hand in hand. A complete gutting and reshuffle of the board, creating a dedicated team to bring in sponsorship and commercial opportunity whilst also addressing the reasons why alot of people hate us. By ridding ourselves of the people responsible for the Goodwillie saga, Ally Love saga and actually addressing and nipping in the bud the poor fan behaviour would be a good start.

Thank you! I was planning on getting this train, I should have said in my original post was looking to get a return back to Düsseldorf after the game has finished, those trains seem to be the pricy ones

Flying from Manchester and staying in Düsseldorf for a week from the 18th to the 25th. Looking at getting to Stuttgart from Düsseldorf on the 23rd, I don’t have any match tickets and the train is looking like it’s going to be £100 plus which is obviously pretty steep but I’ll pay it if o have to. Just wanted to check if there aren’t any cheaper tickets or something I’m missing to get there. Any help appreciated.

People have been pointing and laughing for years mate. Make absolutely no mistake about it either, we 100% deserve it. Unfortunately Saturday is the culmination of years of weak and non existent leadership. Kit man carries on like that because he knows there will be no consequences. Fans carry on like that because they know there will be no consequences. Board do f**k all because there are no consequences. We have been absolutely tin pot on and off the park from the moment we got promoted to league 1 something that should have been used as a stepping stone to push the club on. Instead we rewarded failure on and off the park and when you do that who can be surprised you are rewarded with more failure. Said it before and will say it again the sliding doors moment was not emptying Lennon after Clydebank. That set the wheels in motion where we should have acted like a remotely serious club and we didn’t. Following that up with bringing Goodwillie back and losing Broadwood we all but asked people to laugh at us If we go down to the lowland league the club needs absolutely ripped out and reworked and rebranded into something different. The pyramid was brought in so that teams could find their level and we have found ours very quickly and surprise surprise it’s not in the top 42 where competent teams are

I agree Alexander coming back without any vote to advise the board given his reputation with the fans was suspect. I had actually pointed that out at the time. Not an owner so can’t see anything on other forums but every interaction iv had with Alexander had been positive and he’s been dead on. I just disagree with the way he wants to run the club and went about some thing in his chairmanship

Just wanted to stop by and pass my condolences the fans of Pollok. Was pretty shocked at the news of them having money trouble as been to see them a few times over the years and always had great crowds and good players. Hopefully it gets sorted soon and there will be many a game at newlandsfield to come, think it’s a cracking wee ground. It’s never nice to see clubs in financial trouble but with the cost of living and expenses in football these days I can see how it can happen.

You may know more than me and have been closer to the whole thing than me but outside looking in it was handled poorly. The whole plan should have been put out with transparency on who was filling what role. Anything else and it was dead in the water. Some people on the board have been around for ages and folk won’t get rid of them without knowing who they are getting into bed with. Agree no point arguing about it, the whole club needs gutted and rebuilt from top to bottom. We have no identity and when fans turn like they have it rarely ends well.

As I said before there is a real loser’s mentality and a rot right through the club. Very similar to when Brechin went down. That’s it over as far as I’m concerned it’s play off time.
