  1. Ha ha, save them from the play offs? You mean the relegation play offs, it might take Ayr and QP to the promotion play offs
  2. Agreed, tho I think a 16 league is the biggest we should consider. I am not in favour of 'B' teams being involved further down the league. Id go for three divisions of 14, a conference, also of 14 at tier 4 and the Highland and lowland leagues below, maybe reducing to 16 (no B teams). There would be automatic promotions between ALL of the divisions.
  3. Its about time we got rid of all of this Woke stuff and allowed organisations to conduct their own affairs they way they wish. Let people decide whether they pay the money or not. Forget this legal nonesense
  4. And im sure that Gretna would have helped them immeasurably
  5. I wasnt comparing them, I have different motives, so dont try to 2nd guess me. You have no idea of my interest
  6. I support Ayr and come to watch them regularly but I live in England and this comment interested me.
  7. Still dont understand why they cant use the Scottish Reserve League that is already in existence.
  8. They dont need B teams for young players to have good first team experience. Lower league clubs are always happy to help. I remember in the 70s watching the Ayr United side with young Celtic players in their side and Jock Stein visiting Somerset Park regularly to watch his youngsters perform. There was NO need of B teams then, so why now.
  9. So I take it there was nothing to come out of todays meeting ultimately?
  10. I am just revieing all of the info regarding the current vote by clubs on League reconstruction. There seems to be an idea of a 'Conference' new league between current League 2 and the Highland/Lowland leagues simply to allow the Premier league 'B' teams a place in the system. Id like to know peoples views as I am NOT in favour of 'B' teams be part of the league, they should set up their own reserve league. I would prefer a revised system of Three divisions of 16 teams with the highland/lowland league feeding in, I think four small divisions is pretty poor.
  11. The Midlands league is currently on 19 teams. Is it likely to reduce in number next season to 18, or 16?
  12. So whats the plans for division 4 from next season? With the Premier division casting off 4 teams, does that mean that Division 4 will take excess clubs from above plus any new applicants?
  13. Is there a website for the new Midland League?
  14. You mean the English National Anthem which is an anti-Scottish song?
