Here is the Dunfermline fan who hasn't been in the Premiership since 2012 and been in League 1 for four seasons trying to sound all mighty.

We were on top of the league, but werent good enough to stay there for the duration or challenge in anyway in the playoffs and fluffed the cup and at the moment in a relegation battle, so yeah there is room for improvement which I hope Brown can bring

How was anything I said “high and mighty”? It’s not exactly controversial to say that Ayr pushing towards the top half of the Championship would be considered a good achievement by any neutral.

Plus, I have zero clue what Dunfermline’s recent record has to do with anything being discussed?

I simply asked if fans would prefer finishing lower down the league if they liked the manager more and apparently they would, so fair enough.

Should listen to the Terrace Podcast that was released earlier today with Ayr supporter Ally Gemmell talking to Craig Fowler. I agree with his fine margin analogy. Had it not been for a last minute injury time winner on the last day of the season, we would've finished 5th.

If my Auntie had baws level nonsense that tbf.

You could also argue that you turn one of those defeats against Dundee into a victory and Ayr would have been champions. Equally true and just as equally meaningless.

Have to be honest though - I think the vast majority of Scottish football would have considered just missing out on the top four with Ayr as a decent effort.

Because even though he finished second everything about his team that was predictive pointed to eventual failure.

What is success for Ayr United though? If 2nd isn’t good enough to retain any goodwill then is it simply promotion or bust?

If Scott Brown plays a better style of football, comes across as charismatic in interviews, has better contacts, tactics and subs than Bullen but finishes lower down the table, is that still preferable?

Genuine question here. The role Greg Shields had… has the title been lost in translation somewhere?

“Head of Professional” - it just feels like there’s a word missing at the end. But it’s been used so often that it doesn’t seem like it’s just been missed in the article. The job title just makes no sense and you’d think someone would have tried to fix this? It’s just weird.

I would assume it should be ‘Head of Professional Development”?

I take it you know this guy, CIM?

im a bit concerned about the club just now. One young lad who is a centre half so far and the window closing soon. No rumours about who he are after. We live in hope

    I do not.

Anyone with the club’s best interests at heart though would either be sharing all the information they have or would be staying far away from football forums and social media.

If the details are so hush hush that they can’t be widely shared at this time then it would suggest the club’s future is at risk.

Anything less serious than that and it’s just thoroughly unserious people wanting to feel important.

We’d better hope they don’t read this thread on EEB forum.
Many of these guys were right about the whole Masterton thing while many didn’t even know what was going on, now these guys are posting this. Things might not be as rosy at the club as I thought

I can absolutely guarantee that Raymie guy is a complete c**t IRL.

Wanting to be the centre of attention and dishing out little hints about information. Either tell people what you know or shut the f**k up.

I'm no expert either but I'd say the LL did more for the development of Owen Moffet(?) than any of his subsequent moves have.

It's horses for courses.  The benefits of the LL to the B teams are there.  It's whether that is worth sacrificing the sporting integrity of the large for which IMO it isnt

Teams like Celtic and Rangers want a ‘B’ team so they can stockpile players and give them game time while they wait to cash in. It’s a productive revenue stream for them; he played for Celtic therefore he must be good etc.

There’s also half an eye on keeping an OF presence in Scottish football if they ever finally get their wish to join some Euro/Arctic/Atlantic Super League.

If the clubs were open about that then fair enough IMO, it’s up to the other clubs to accept it or tell them to GTF. Instead, they’ve tried to pretend it’s vital to improve Scottish football and when that didn’t wash they just flat out bribed their way in.

He would only become a success if, after death, his corpse was ground down for pet food and helped save some starving mutts and kitty kats.

I think I speak for those animals when I say they’d probably rather just eat their own shite.

    Get Salmond back 🙂

He had the gift of persuading opposition politicians to do what he wanted. He got Cameron to agree to a referendum

I’d prefer incompetence to a creepy sex pest who touches women while they’re asleep tbh.

    To each their own.

  10. Airdrie vs Hearts should be a good game. Hopefully Bonnyrigg also get a TV pay day for their trip to Pittodrie as well.

Celtic and Rangers games will both be televised, even though neither are remotely interesting.

There is not a sentient being on the surface of our Earth that could care about Partick Thistle vs Livingston.
