Stood up to the 13 men we were against. That stand side linesman and referee were an absolute disgrace. They gave fair and consistent decisions until we went 3-0 then Hamilton got everything. Their first goal was offside clear as day yet he still missed it. Constantly getting the decisions wrong and missed at least one penalty in the second half. That gave Hamilton the comeback but our boys stood up to it and never crumbled. Spencer really should have sealed the win. I’m frightful how much that has taken out the team ahead of Tuesday though. -

If we beat Hamilton and draw with Montrose that’s a +4 point difference. If we draw with Hamilton and beat Montrose it’s only a +3 point advantage. Therefore, we must be Hamilton IMO. -

Anyone who wins a league title is down to what they have done throughout the season and no one else. If it was the case that we’ve potentially won it because of how poor they are, why is no one else challenging us? -

IF we replace Arbroath next season, there is no part time clubs next season to finish above. No Alloa’s or Arbroath’s who are usually always expected to finish bottom. That makes it even more crucial we strengthen and consolidate as there is no team you could predict to finish below us. -

Just hope we don’t shit the bed next Saturday. Win and it’s next to done IMO. I’m not being negative before anyone says, just scarred from previous years that we usually shit the bed when everything is in our hands/big occasions. Really hope we can do it the easy way and win comfortably. -

That’s not what I said. I said teams target his height and it’s not as exposed at present as we tend to do less defending in our league than would be the case in the league above. I think it’s a very valid point considering Airdrie attacked him in every single game last year and had multiple success at doing so. -

I’m going to say an unpopular opinion here but IF we go up I’d be thinking about potentially replacing McCann. It’s no coincidence that the better teams we play against constantly target his height. I fear he may be found out in the championship and I don’t say it lightly as I think he’s been decent for us. -

The club should really be releasing a statement to condemn what we saw last night. Since it’s all over social media, it’s allowed other club’s fans to ridicule our fan base yet again due to a small number of thugs. -

100% on Lang, not Nesbitt. -

He had at least three from memory in the first half, two from Morrison one of which was with his legs immediately after they scored. Lang has his weak headed second half but also had another which granted wasn’t on target but really should have been. Nicky had nothing out with his double save that still led to a goal. -

Spot on. The comments are over the top IMO. We made one mistake and got punished. Their press was better than anything we’ve faced and they set up defensively sound. Their keeper was busier than Nicky and on another night we’d have scored at least one. Just one of them games it didn’t happen for us. Move on and forget. -

Is that Brad McKay in Tom Lang’s body? Had the better chances and fair fucks to Nicky for the stunning double save before the goal. -

I notice that, he also gave a look that suggested he’d have gave the penalty if he could have. -

Can we just mention that ludicrous decision not to aware us a penalty and book Miller. I know it didn’t matter in the end, but that was a shocking decision. -

Good news regarding keeping Coll. He’s been outstanding this season. -

Lawal surely is next to go. He doesn’t even make the squad when everyone is fit. Allan would have been good to keep for the bench incase we ever need to chase a game. -

If McGlynn thought Tait’s attitude was that bad he wouldn’t have signed him considering he’s worked with him. I have no issues with this at all. I would however have liked another CB incase Donaldson or Lang get injured/suspended/ill. -

Good cover for all the midweek games we may have. If Cove win, that’s definitely two and if we make the final of the cup that’s 3 minimum. -

If we don’t bench Long after the last two weeks then we know fine well we need to play him as part of some condition from his parent club. -

Having watched the highlights back and my thoughts from the time, is there no hint of offside on their second goal? I mean the guy is literally on the line and hasn’t moved. Suppose there was no real complaints from players or management. -

Very fair post, maybe tell this to your manager going by his comments this morning. -

Thing is, most teams would have struggled on that surface today and that’s just a matter of fact. -

I spoke with the Bonnyrigg scout during the week quite a bit as I work beside him. He was at our game against Edinburgh and he said that they were going to target Long all game because in his words “he’s not tall enough or commanding enough”. He saw that in one game. He also said they were going to target set pieces and you can’t play on their grass. We knew this would be the case. Another two goals for set pieces, Long comes for the first and gets no where near it and it’s in. Second one finishes with the boy a yard or so away from Long and he puts it past him. He’s got to be so much braver and sharper and come and punch that ball. It’s confirmed what I said weeks ago, Hogarth is the better keeper by some distance. The pitch is as bad as I’ve ever saw. My U18’s team I coach played on a better grass pitch this morning in the middle of a council estate. It totally evens the game up. We aren’t hammer throwers. We don’t play for set pieces. We play football and unfortunately we couldn’t do that today. We can’t make ourselves more physical or whatever have you , you either are or aren’t. I don’t think any team deserved to win that. Second half they did nothing until the 90 odd minute. We had some decent chances, Donaldson in particular second half. Morrison with his 1v1 miss too was a massive chance. Pressure is firmly now on us next week because of McGlynn last week IMO. We can’t go three without a win or Hamilton will be licking their lips. -

Don’t know where to start with that article but I’ll make a go of it. First of all, it’s a clear attempt to unsettle our squad as up until now they are miles off us footballing wise as the last game suggested between the sides so they need to try something. Second of all, imagine the message it sends to their attackers when they want to sign three players who all play in similar positions, so that’s a bonus for us. Thirdly, imagine letting that go out. We’ve tried to take not one but two of the team above us’ better players but they’ve said no. Everyone knows there is not a hope in hell we’ll accept anything that Hamilton or any other team outside the top 6 in Scotland could give us for three players in January. It would almost certainly guarantee we wouldn’t win the league. Would have to be silly, silly money to make us part with them. It just screams utter desperation really. -

My stream wasn’t the best yesterday so actually missed a lot of the game. However after watching the highlights, we should have scored a lot more than 2 even in that first half. 2 off the bar and 2 off the line. I suppose on another day they might go in for us.
