  1. Fairly happy with that unlucky not to be infront but also unlucky not to be behind. Mackie giving me the fear again. Alegria sending the defender for a pie was a massive chance for Morrison.
  2. 700+ tickets sold for tomorrow. Fair play to us all again
  3. Whilst I agree, it’s a good chance for us. They aren’t in the best form whilst we’re in form. Will be interesting. FWIW, I don’t want to see Mackie at LB again unless for injuries.
  4. Really? They were murder. Had nothing about them with potentially the exception of Todd. Walk out Willie will be lucky to be in a job come Christmas if that’s how they play.
  5. That was outstanding. Apart from the 15 minutes or so at the start of the second half it was complete domination. We went through a spell fearing where goals would come from and now I feel we will score with every attack. Could easily have scored 5+ again today for the third game in a row. I’m glad McCann managed to continue he’s such a great player and gives us so much going forward. Already said my opinion on Alegria. Too many on here wrote him off simply due to what Partick fans said. Some players suit certain teams etc and the fact he’s still young and will continue to learn. I honestly think he’s such a vital part of the way we attack. McGinn, what more can I say? He’s utter immense. He’s everywhere and a real leader. Donaldson is another one that looks a class signing. Can’t get too carried away as being typical Falkirk we’ll probably lose to Kelty next week but grounds for optimism. Consistency will be key.
  6. Totally agree I felt Mackie has his poorest game for us today and was rightly hooked.
  7. Alegria has been absolutely superb. His movement, his strength and his touch has been excellent. Goals were missing in recent weeks but not today. They cannot handle him. Gutted for McCann who has been superb too.
  8. Anyone know why the floodlights were lit at 2am this morning? All along the main stand and the two free standing ones. Seems like a bit of a waste burning them unless emergency work was being done?
  9. Morrison could have easily had another hatrick yesterday if he improves his composure in front of goal. I think Alegria’s hold up play and movement brings a lot of people into the game in the attacking areas so I don’t see McGlynn dropping him so easily/quickly. I’m desperate for the boy to score.
  10. Think Algeria has done well but Oliver has been outstanding in the 10 role. Hope we keep him there. McCann looking good at LB again with Mackie in the middle.
  11. The referee is absolutely atrocious. If Alegria had missed that chance Oliver did we’d never hear the end of it. He’s not as bad as some make out
  12. The goal was superb. A lung bursting run from McCann made the space for Morrison and it was a great moment of quality.
  13. Should be out of sight. Morrison and Williamson doing very well. They literally came into our half once and scored (which is worrying). Please get Hetherington off for Oliver and go old school Houstie 4-4-2.
  14. As much as Williamson is poor, Yeats was murder at RB on Saturday and we badly missed him in midfield.
  15. I wouldn’t say the jury is out on PJ, I think he’s been very decent since returning and looks much improved since his last spell. I’d also argue Oliver hasn’t been poor, in fact far from it. His hold up play has been very tidy so far, we just need to actually partner him with someone who’ll get in behind.
  16. I never said there was positives, apart from creating chances in the first half which we did and I also never said Airdrie were lucky last season- in fact I’m sure i said they were the best footballing side in the division IMO but yesterday they did get some amount of luck and fair play to them punishing us.
  17. Which everyone is quite rightly allowed to pissed off it. On the face of it 4-0 to anyone who wasn’t at the game is a total pumping but we need to pick the bones of it. At not point in that game, until maybe the last 5 minutes, did I think we’d lose by that margin or be pumped. It just wasn’t that type of game. Anyone who sees we lost 4-0 would think we were under the cosh from minute 1 to minute 90 and it simply wasn’t the case. That’s why I made the earlier comment “it was never a 4-0 game”. A 4-0 score line yes but never a 4-0 game as it completely flattered Airdrie. The full situation is made worse because of what happened last year, rightly so. But at no point was that ever like the Queen’s Park game. Sitting at Firhill it was like Queen’s Park would score with every single attack and dominated from the first minute. That’s not what happened yesterday. Luck was shining more on Airdrie yesterday with the two fortuitous goals. My biggest annoyance would be at the chances we wasted again with Morrison in particular being the biggest culprit.
  18. I said the exact same yesterday during the game, Airdrie were far better last season and IMO were the best footballing team in the division and should have went up. McGlynn was absolutely spot on we had 5 chances, I counted 3 very good but he’s obviously went with all 5 as very good. The problems arised when we went down to 10 men, had a sub keeper who couldn’t keep hens out a close and Airdrie punished us. The second goal gets even more luck than the first as 1. It wasn’t a corner kick and 2. The ball lands perfect and Gallagher’s feet via a deflection for a second time. Think some people need to chill.
  19. Next Saturday I’d like to see (dependant on injuries) Morrison Williamson Donaldson Mackie McCann McGuffie Yeates McGinn Morrison Burrells Oliver I don’t think we have any other wide midfielders at present who could replace Morrison or McGuffie.
  20. Let’s be perfectly honest here. First half we could easily have been going in in front. Had the better of the half and were behind to a huge deflection. Second half Airdrie were much better. Didn’t create too much until the second went in, when another deflection took it into Gallagher’s path from a corner it never was. The last two goals simply came due to the fact we were down to 10 men and chasing trying to get back into it. The pitch was absolutely disgraceful, for both teams. No player could control it on that surface and countless people fell over the ball. It also looks like it’s possibly cause our two injuries? But I can’t say that for absolute certain. Morrison and Nesbitt were rotten. Morrison looks lost and Nesbitt is slower than McGlynn himself. I genuinely don’t think it was a 4-0 game. That said, all the pressure is on the defence when you don’t score that many. Up until the second goal I thought that was the best we’ve played against them since we came down.
  21. Never want to see Mackie at left back again. He’s slower than me ffs.
  22. We’ve been the better team IMO. Unlucky with the goal, what are the chances of that ball deflecting right to the path of their striker 1 in 100. Morrison has been terrible, so greedy and his decision making is awful again. McGuffie has been our best player. Comical for the ref not to add any extra time on btw.
  23. Not saying the boy will be any good or bad, I don’t know anything about him, however with signings like this that no one has heard of I wish the club wouldn’t hype it up with the pen emoji etc. Just gets us all going or nothing.
