I think we need to have a little bit of perspective IMO. We finished 6th last year, absolutely miles behind the champions and some distance outside the plays offs. We had a squad that wasn’t fit to wear the navy blue, changing managers every season and a shambles off the park too. The club was at its worst point in my lifetime. Within a year, to be challenging for the title with two full time teams coming down from the championship and steadying the ship off the pitch is very good going IMO. Just because we’re “Falkirk in league 1” doesn’t give us or anyone else the right to be up the top end of the table just because of who we are. I would have snapped your hands off for play offs this season considering the points I’ve just mentioned and the fact Montrose, Airdrie etc are well set up teams who are very streetwise in this league. We all hope and expect us to be challenging in this league however I think we need to also be realistic.

I think that wins them the league IMO. The momentum that will bring to them will be seismic. Lo and behold though, it was kick started by another penalty and red card. I’m shocked at Airdrie though. Hopefully that knocks the stuffing clean out of them.

Absolute nonsense

A point is a fair result IMO but that’s a kick in the balls so late on. Their number 2 could have been off for the multiple fouls on Morrison, especially the one down the back of his Achilles. 6 minutes stoppage time and a penalty we’d never have gotten at the other end. Shouldn’t have changed shape with only one training session used to work on it.

Brutal. Two strikers playing like they’ve never seen each other before. Can’t even get out our half. Only a matter of time before we’re behind. Yates the worst on the park.

Big call changing the winning team and more importantly the shape. Hope it works! COYB

John McGlynn is the best thing to happen to our club in years. That triple change swung the game in our favour.

Dreadful goal to give away to match our performance. Mackie has been awful , I’d drop him asap for Donaldson no matter what foot he plays with. Mackie helping the ball across our goal for that rat to score. Whilst it’s not causing us to lose, this referee is awful. Again. Clear head knock and he played on. McKay could have been knocked out or anything.

Mon the Bairns. Must get one over on this lot today!

Need to target a RB again in the summer as both options will be away then.

Mind when our Fife friends told us we were up the tubes because we were selling 10 year season tickets? When in actual fact, we’ve paid a fee for the leagues 3rd top scorer. Bliss.

Be shocked if we weren’t picked after tonight. Mindset will be “if they can beat Aberdeen, they will beat Falkirk”

They can’t be favourites, even if folk do fancy them. It’s like making us favourites against a Livingston or such.

Tonight might just be the best thing to happen for us. It highlighted on a national stage what to expect from them so no one can say we’ll be taken by surprise when we start the game against them, we know exactly what to expect. Maybe now the expectation that they are playing a team two leagues below Aberdeen will also help.

To beat Montrose away and Aberdeen at home, they aren’t going to be mugs. We need to play and prepare professionally and it’s a great chance for a one game shoot out for a place at Hampden

Massive credit to McGlynn and the team. To be losing and not playing our best against a team in good form to come back in win is a very good sign. Oliver was decent first half and that’s why they brought on Graham to deal with his hold up Play. After that Oliver was anonymous.

Another clear penalty for us denied. Becoming a farce now.

He should have seen red in the first game against us. Horrible tackle when already on a booking and he ran away from the scene as he knew he was at risk of going.
