  1. But he is a footballer. You can’t just remove factors from something because they might form part of a decision or outcome you don’t like. The Bonnyrigg fan is definitely at fault because he’s ’started it’ so to speak. But Scullion doesn’t need to be there in the first place. He doesn’t need to gesticulate the way he does. And he certainly doesn’t need to respond in the same way. It’s because he’s a footballer that he needs to turn and walk away, and whether many of us mere mortals would walk away or not has absolutely nothing to do with it. This is just another sorry incident that some people are desperate to paint Clyde in as some sort of sorry victim. There have been issues at numerous Clyde games this season. They have an element who can’t behave and an element who can’t accept responsibility for moronic actions. I’ll happily stand corrected if required but it’s absolutely no coincidence in my opinion that in several (maybe all) of the unacceptable incidents surrounding games this year, Clyde have been involved. There’s a common denominator here.
  2. Anyone suggesting a warning or three game ban is absolutely laughable. Although this is Clyde we’re talking about, some of whom have a crazily warped view on things.
  3. Yeah. There’s always an excuse or some sort of flimsy attempt at mitigation isn’t there. Strange how other clubs can have opposing fans next to each other without issue until Clyde imbeciles come to town.
  4. Clyde fans in being unable to behave at a football match shock.
  5. It can’t be any worse than tonight. Can it?
  6. I was more meaning questions by those who can make the decisions but yeah. And from that form table, we’ve scored fewer goals than the bottom side Clyde, in the last ten games. Grand.
  7. We were pretty pedestrian and uninspiring tonight but really, anything less than a win here and surely questions have to be asked, Clyde must be at their lowest ebb what, ever?
  8. That was a truly awful spectacle. Eye bleeding stuff. Spartans came for a draw and got it, but we didn’t work them nearly enough. It’s an indictment on the league that 3rd and 4th in the league served that up tonight. We had the better of it and Spartans were pretty rotten but my, we could still be playing next Tuesday and we wouldn’t score. We probably should have scored one of the couple of decent chances we made but we were just so laboured for the most part. It was so pedestrian and slow. The pitch won’t be helping but really, neither side could expect to trouble Annan over two-legs in the play-offs if they play anything like that. Overall not many positives to take from this evening. Awful home performance. Awful away performance. Awful pitch. Awful officiating performance. Yay. Hopefully a few personnel changes for Clyde on Saturday.
  9. With respect, it’s not Elgin’s lookout for any team’s players, officials, supporters and employers other than their own. If it’s to do with regard for these groups, that’s where the SPFL should come in and if it was that important then they’d insist on the game being played this Saturday. I can totally understand Elgin’s reasoning for not wanting the game on a Saturday while having a number of injuries, why would they? There’s also the school of thought that they might be better placed to pick up a result if Stenhousemuir have had to travel up midweek after players work etc rather than the ability to prepare etc on a Saturday.
  10. I was looking forward to seeing the highlights and the goals again after Saturday but that highlights ‘package’ is woeful. I understand Pixellot is part of the issue but jeez. A really good win and as others have said, we were in complete control and deservedly won handsomely. Clyde were pretty rank and we played some really nice stuff at times. That third goal could be watched on repeat if it wasn’t for the highlight quality. A really excellent move and smart finish too.
  11. As a Dumbarton supporter who rated Peter Grant’s time with us last season, even I have to ask, what in the name of was he going for the eventual winner there?! He ducks out of the way whereas any sort of touch with his head diverts the ball away from the intended path for McDonald. Must be a sickener, horrible way to lose a game but fair play to Stranraer, they kept going and got their reward.
  12. I hope he does lose some fat and kick on again too. As for him being where he is now from what I’ve heard and from what we saw, his attitude must’ve been questionable at best given the condition he presented in for games in the latter part of his time with us. He’s got the ability to play at a far higher level but it would rely on a sizeable change in attitude for the better, he’s at the level he’s now at purely by his own doing as far as I’m concerned.
  13. Is your guys’ friendly against East Kilbride tomorrow at K Park and are fans allowed or is it closed door? Cheers.
  14. I agree that we should definitely be making considerable efforts to retain Lynas, but not necessarily because he’s a fans favourite. He’s solid and dependable and offers real solidity on that side of the park. If we re-sign folk because they’re fan favourites, that’s entering into the embarrassing realms of waving to ex-players and the like.
